Carla's POV
I went up to Derek at his locker, smiling, "Hey, Charming," I said, he turned to me, returning the smile.
"Hey, feeling better, Princess," he asked, I shrugged.
"Sure," I answered, he snorted, shaking his head at me.
"Did you finish the homework," he asked me, I nodded.
"Of course I did," I said, rolling my eyes, Derek had brought me my homework so that I wouldn't fall behind in class while I was sick.
"Alright, alright, dumb question," he said, as he closed his locker and smiled at me. "Would you like a Royal Escort to first period, M'lady," he asked, I started laughing, unable to stop myself.
I nodded, "Thank you, kind sir," I agreed, he laughed with me, wrapping an arm around my shoulders as we started walking to class. He was making dumb jokes that made it hard not to laugh at him, "Will you stop? Your jokes are horrible," I said, trying to stop laughing.
He grinned at me, "Oh, c'mon, I think they're puny," he said, I rolled my eyes. "I've gotta ask you something, Princess," he said, voice turning kinda serious, I raised an eyebrow at him. "We're back to being friends, right," he asked, I rolled my eyes again and let out a breath.
"I don't think we have another choice, do we," I asked, he grinned and shook his head.
"No, I don't think we do," he told me, I grinned back.
"Well then, answer your own question," I told him, he nodded.
"Yes," he said, as we walked into class, I snorted.

I was heading to creative writing with Derek when he checked his phone, "Shit," he said, I raised an eyebrow. "Jacob and Lukas are suspended for a week," he said, I stared at him in shock.
"What did they do," I asked, Derek shook his head.
"I have no idea, Lukas managed to text me before his mom took his phone," he answered, I shook my head.
"They couldn't have done something that stupid," I said, Derek scoffed.
"C'mon, Princess, it's Jacob and Lukas, let's be real," he said, I snorted and nodded.
"Okay, that I'll give you," I said, he nodded.
"Thank you."
"You're only right cause they're idiots."

I was sitting on a bench that I put in front of my window with music blaring from my laptop while I was writing. It was Halloween and Mom had to work, which she was getting ready for downstairs. I was supposed to be passing out candy to any trick or treaters, but I just hadn't gone downstairs yet.
There was knocking on the front door and I looked up from my computer, "Carls," Mom called, I turned down my music, "can you get the door?"
"Yeah," I called down to her, I put my laptop on the bench as I stood up. I ran downstairs as someone started knocking harder on the door, I rolled my eyes as I grabbed the doorknob and opened the door. I paused for a moment as I saw Derek, dressed as a vampire with a crown on his head, "Why the fuck are you pounding on my front door?"
"Because you were taking forever to open the fucking door," he answered, I shook my head.
"Alright, fair, but what the fuck are you wearing," I asked, he shrugged, gesturing to his costume.
