Derek's POV
We walked into Carla's house after being in the hospital for a week, Carla swallowed as Kallie came over, sniffing her. It took two seconds for Kallie to be all over her and Carla crouched down and picked her up in her arms, "Hi, Kallie," she said, as she stood up and went over to the couch.
She sat down on the couch as she yawned, she couldn't sleep half of the time while she was there. A few of the bruises were fading, "Baby," Hannah said, as I sat beside Carla and she looked up at Hannah. "Your grandparents are on their way," she said, I watched Carla as she gulped.
"Tell me not grandma," she whispered, Hannah looked down and shook her head.
"She is."
Carla clenched her jaw and nodded slightly, "Am I going to be called childish again," she asked, Cynthia shook her head.
"If she does, you can leave, you and Der can go do whatever you want," she said, I nodded as Carla looked at me and I smiled.
"Really?"
"Yeah, we'll go to the diner or something and we'll take Dakota with us," I promised, her eyes brightened a little and she nodded.
"Okay," she agreed, I gave her a half smile as Tyler grabbed the TV remote, turning it on.
"We're watching Avengers," he announced, Carla nodded.
"Yes."

There was a knock on the front door and Cynthia took a deep breath before she got up to answer it. Carla swallowed and I looked at her, she was messing with the sleeve of my jacket. She was nervous about talking to her grandmother and after what I saw on Thanksgiving, I can't blame her.
Cynthia came back in with two people, which were her parents, "Carls," Gwen, I think, asked, Carla looked at her and got up, tears welling up.
I took Kallie from her and Hannah smiled at them, "Gwen, Luke," she said, Luke shook his head.
"You should just call us Mom and Dad at this point," Luke told her, Hannah snorted and glanced down at her lap.
"It's never appreciated when I do that in front of my mother," she said, he rolled his eyes as Gwen hugged Carla.
"Who cares what she has to say," Luke asked, Carla shook her head.
"Not me," she answered, I snorted as he laughed as Gwen and Carla pulled back from the hug.
Carla sniffed, wiping at her eyes, "I missed you," Gwen told her, Carla nodded.
"I missed you too," she answered, she turned to Luke and he grinned at her.
"Hiya, trouble," he said, she scoffed, shaking her head.
"I'm trouble," she asked, crossing her arms, he raised an eyebrow. "Have you looked in a mirror?"
Luke laughed as she smiled, shaking her head, "C'mere kid," he said, holding his arms open. Carla hugged him and he held her tight, kissing the side of her head, "It's so good that you're back," he told her, she sniffed and nodded.
They pulled apart as there was a knock on the door, Carla gulped as Hannah stood up, "Mom," Carla said, Hannah looked at her.
"We have a deal," she reminded, Carla nodded, I swallowed and looked up at Cynthia as she looked at me.
"Be ready," she mouthed, I nodded.
Hannah walked in with Rosie and Milo and Carla wrapped her arms around herself, "Carls," Milo said, grinning at her, she sniffed.
