Carla's POV
Lukas and Derek were over helping me train Dakota in the backyard, since Mom and Cynthia are worried about her destroying the house when we weren't home. Derek got Dakota to dance and I laughed, shaking my head, "Good job," he told her, handing her a treat, Lukas grabbed a treat.
He sat on the ground in front of her, "Dakota," he said, getting her attention, "c'mere, Dakota." She turned to him and he held out his hand, "Shake," he said, she didn't do anything, so he started teaching her.
Lukas has been hanging out with us more since Tyler left, he missed him and I damn well knew that they had something going on. It reminded me of Mom's and Cynthia's relationship and it was annoying me that they haven't said anything about it yet.
My phone started ringing and I looked at it, seeing that it was Tyler. I grinned and walked over to the tree, glancing back at Lukas and Derek, "I gotta take this, be nice," I told them, Lukas rolled his eyes as Derek scoffed.
I answered the phone, "What's up, Ty," I asked, Tyler never called me unless our father wasn't home.
He let out a shaky breath, "C-Carla."
I froze, turning my back to Lukas and Derek, "You better tell me what's going on right now," I said, hearing all movement behind me stop.
"Dad threatened me, Carls, I don't feel safe," he said, I clenched my fist.
"When and why," I asked, Tyler took a deep breath.
"He found out about Lukas and that we- um- I-" he stopped, and I nodded. I knew that he was dating Lukas and I'm not surprised our father is against it. "I guess he doesn't accept that."
Derek and Lukas came over to me, "He's an idiot. Is he home?"
"Carls, what's up," Derek asked me, I shook my head, holding up a finger, he let out a breath and nodded.
"No," Tyler answered, I nodded.
"Cool, I'm on my way," I said, Lukas raised an eyebrow at me as Derek stared at me in shock.
"No, Carls," Tyler started, I rolled my eyes. "I shouldn't have called you, it's not saf-"
"Tyler James Smith," I said, he gulped, "I'm on my way," I repeated, he sighed. I paused, "How long did it take to get there?"
"Two hours."
I nodded, "Cool, I'll be there in an hour and a half, get your stuff ready," I told him, Lukas crossed his arms. "Call me back if anything happens. Even if he's there."
Tyler let out a breath, "Okay, bye," he said, before hanging up, I ran into my house looking for my keys as the other two followed me.
"Carla, what's going on," Derek asked, I shook my head.
"I need to get Ty," I answered, Derek grabbed my shoulder and forced me to look at him.
"What happened?"
"He threatened Ty, he's coming home," I said, Derek let out a breath as Lukas clenched his jaw.
"Why'd he threaten him," Lukas asked, I took a deep breath.
"He found out about you and Ty," I answered, Lukas gulped and ran a hand through his hair.
"Shit," he said, pulling on his hair, he shut his eyes. "When you realize," he asked me, Derek and I glanced at each other.
"Since you guys started dating," I answered, shrugging, he nodded. "We didn't say anything cause neither of you were out yet, at least to us," I said, Derek nodded as Lukas swallowed.
