Carla's POV
I grinned at Dakota as Derek shook his head at me, "I can't believe how much you've been through," Charlie told me, I looked up at him and shrugged.
"Yeah, me neither," I said, he chuckled slightly as Rylee crossed her arms, watching me.
"That's why you never talk about him," she asked, I nodded.
"Yep," I agreed, that was when Charlie's phone went off and he grabbed it.
"Shit," he muttered, Derek raised an eyebrow at him.
"What's up?"
He let out a breath, "I had a surprise for Rylee and that's why I had an alarm set," he answered, Rylee looked at him.
"Surprise?"
I let out a breath, "Get going and have fun," I told them, Charlie shook his head.
"It can be delayed a little," he said, I shook my head.
"It's fine, I'll be fine besides I highly doubt Derek's leaving anytime," I said, shrugging, Derek nodded.
"True," he agreed, I nodded.
"See?"
Rylee shook her head, "But-"
"Get out of my house," I said, smiling, she let out a breath as I shook my head.
"I don't want to leave."
"Rylee, I can handle the thoughts and with Charming here, I will be fine, if I wasn't I would ask you to stay," I told her, she sighed and nodded.
"Okay, okay, fine," she agreed, I nodded as Charlie got up and held out a hand to Rylee. "See ya later," she asked, I nodded again and fist bumped her.
"See you guys later," I said, Derek kissed the side of my head.
The two went back into my house and left as I left out a shaky breath, "Princess," he asked me, I shook my head and looked down.
"Can I have a break," I whispered, he let out a breath and kissed my cheek.
"I'll be inside, if you aren't in within the next ten minutes, I'm coming back out," he told me, I gave him a smile.
"Thanks, Charming," I said, he nodded.
"Of course."

I went inside and grabbed a water bottle from the fridge as Derek walked in and froze, I smiled as I shut the door, "I was right on ten minutes, wasn't I," I asked, he rubbed the back of his neck and nodded.
"Yeah," he told me, I walked over to him as he looked down at the floor. "I didn't want you to deal with it alone anymore than you have already," he said, I smiled and cupped his cheek.
"Thanks, Charming," I said, he looked at me.
"We gonna go finish that movie," he asked, I let out a breath and rested my head against his forehead.
"I don't even know what movie we were watching," I whispered, he laughed, shaking his head.
"Neither do I," he answered, I bit my lip and let out a breath.
"Wanna just go up to my room," I asked, looking at him, he shrugged.
"Sure," he said, I nodded as I pulled back and left the kitchen going over to the stairs and he followed me as I took a drink of water.
We walked into my room and I sat on my bed, setting my water on my nightstand, "Princess," he asked, I looked at him, raising an eyebrow at him, "are you okay?"
