Derek's POV
By the time Carla had finally fallen asleep it was almost midnight. She was laying on top of me with her head on my chest, I smiled down at her, running my hand through her hair. "I will never deserve you," I whispered to her, kissing the top of her head as she tightened her arms around me. I chuckled and shook my head, before closing my eyes. I never want to lose her again.

I woke up as the sun started rising and I looked down at Carla, who looked like she was glowing from the sunrise. I smiled and grabbed my phone from my pocket without waking her up. I turned on my camera and took a picture before putting my phone down.
I kissed the top of her head as she moved so that her face was pressed into my chest, "Princess," I asked, she shook her head.
"Yeah," she asked, I let out a breath.
"Are you okay," I asked, she shrugged. "What's wrong?"
"I don't know," she whispered, I nodded and tightened my arms around her.
"Wanna talk about it," I asked, and she shook her head.
"No, can we just get up and do something," she asked, I nodded and sat up, pulling her up with me.
"C'mon," I said, as I grabbed my phone and went on Youtube, pulling up I Bet My Life, Imagine Dragons. I stood up and grabbed Carla's hands, pulling her up with me, "C'mon, Princess," I said, she looked at me as I wrapped my arms around her waist, pulling her into me, and she wrapped her arms around my neck. I kissed next to her ear, "Sing, Princess," I whispered to her, she let out a breath as she rested her head on my shoulder and we started slow dancing.
She started singing and I tightened my arms around her, resting the side of my head against her head. We were about half way through the song when she let out a breath, "You know, Imagine Dragons probably isn't the best band to slow dance to," she whispered, I laughed and shook my head.
"What's new with us," I asked, she laughed as I kissed her head again. "I love you," I told her, she tightened her arms around me.
"I love you too." She let out a breath as I rubbed her back, "I'm still sorry that you have to deal with my nightmares," she said, I shook my head and got her to look at me.
"Believe me, Carla," I stared, she studied my face, sniffing, as I smiled at her, "I don't care, I'm glad I can help at all, even if it's not a lot."
She smiled slightly, "Thanks," she whispered, I nodded.
"Of course," I answered, as she rested her forehead against mine. I let out a breath, "So, what was it about," I asked, she sighed and closed her eyes.
"It was like the one from last night," she started, slowly, I nodded. "But th-this time I woke up as they put a g-g-g-gun to yo-" I kissed her, getting her to stop talking. I pulled back as she took a deep breath, I pulled her body closer and held her tighter.
She rested her head on my chest as I let out a breath, I realized she was listening to my heart beat. "I'm good, Princess," I said, kissing the top of her head, she nodded. "It's not gonna happen, okay?"
She nodded, taking a deep breath, "Okay," she whispered, I nodded.
"What else is wrong?"
She shook her head and swallowed hard, "I don't want to lose any of you," she said, I shook my head.
"You won't lose any of us," I told her, she looked up at me as I saw the tears welling up in her eyes again. "I promise, we're gonna be fine."
She nodded, taking another deep breath, "Okay," she agreed, I rested my forehead on her forehead again as she shut her eyes. "I really hate these stupid nightmares."
I kissed her, "I know," I said, letting out a breath as she sighed. I shook my head, "Start singing again," I told her, she nodded and rested her head on my shoulder again.
The music switched to a different Imagine Dragons song and Carla started singing along as she tightened her arms around me again. I let out a breath and started singing with her, "Thank you," she whispered, I nodded as we kept dancing.
"No problem, Princess."
