"We got it, Kids!" Big John cheered before kissing the signpost. "Let's vámonos!" He placed the signpost next to the wheel and took control of the boat.

The twins looked at each other whilst breathing heavy. They had literally ran for their lives whilst being shot at and their father was more concerned with the signpost than checking over his kids. Thankfully the two were okay which honestly was surprising given their track record.

A little later on in the night the three Routledges were sat below deck with a shot of whiskey in each other their hands. "To life, living and the pursuit of treasure." Big John cheered before the three of them placed the glass at their lips and tipped their heads back.

Saylor rolled her eyes that their father added the treasure to their toast but she couldn't say she expected any less and she did the shot anyway. "So, what's the deal with this whole big Kahuna thing?" John B asked grabbing the signpost of the table.

The brunette girl physically couldn't handle any more treasure talk so removed herself from the conversation. She left the table and flopped herself onto the small bed just behind John B.

It didn't take long for the topic of conversation to change from the treasure to their fathers 'death. That was something Saylor did want to hear so she turned her her body so she was laid on her side facing her dad as he spoke.

"I was marooned out on the Shoals for what felt like months, living on seaweed, sweat and rainwater. Fixed myself up to be crab food. Thought I was a goner." Saylors eyes softened, she had spent all day being angry at him for not telling them he was alive and for focusing on the treasure. She hadn't stopped to think about how scared and alone he must have felt. "Singh must have tracked my boat, then his men showed up. He must have known I was onto something because they found me. At first I thought I was being rescued. Turns out it was less of a rescue mission, more of a captivity-type deal."

Saylor couldn't help but think about the similarities between her fathers story and her own. When the plane first arrived at Poguelandia she thought they had been saved, but less than an hour later she was locked in a bedroom at Singhs estate.

"I didn't go without a fight. We left one of his men behind, as I'm sure you've heard." Sherif Peterkin had found the man they left behind and mistook it for Big John. "Next thing I know, I'm being shipped off to Barbados. Singhs place. They locked me up in some audacious estate surrounded by cane fields and armed guards."

John B turned his head to look at his sister knowing that she had the same experience, he hated that Singh had done that to not only his father but his little sister too.

"I meet this particular little man, Singh." Saylor let out a little laugh, she hadn't had time to think about it before but Singh really was a short man. "He wants to cut a deal with me. He wants me to tell him everything I know in exchange for him keeping me alive but it didn't take long before I caught on to the game. So as soon as I took the chance I took it. Got a little roughed up along the way, but I made it out. And not empty handed." Big John waved the signpost in the air looking at it in admiration. "And here I am, back with my kids." He chucked looking at the two who were both smiling at him. "Enough about me. I wanna here about you two. Who are you sweet on these days huh? I know there must be someone."

Saylor sucked her teeth as John B opened his mouth, he had to tell their father that he was not only dating but married to Wards daughter. But then she realised it would soon become her turn to answer the question and the boy she was currently 'sweet on' was 'sweet on' one of her best friends. She rolled onto her back and stared at the ceiling fiddling with her fingers.

She zoned out of their conversation as her eyes filled with tears, she had been to busy to have time to actually think about how screwed up her situation with JJ was and now all she could do was think about it.

"And what about you?" Big John asked his daughter as he placed the shot glass back onto the table.

Saylor sat up from the bed and walked to the table grabbing her own shot glass and filing it. She downed the shot before walking back up to the top of the boat. The ability to say it out loud was something she did not yet possess.

The two Routledge men joined her at the front of the boat with a map and a lantern, she didn't want to talk about, she made it clear. So they weren't going force her.

All her dad would talk about was the treasure and it was driving her insane. She thought it was so ridiculous. After everything that had been through, everything they lost he still wanted more. Big John was never happy with what he had, he was always on the hunt for something more than himself and he didn't care for the consequences.

Saylor watched her brother and dad as they hit their bottles together with a promise to find the treasure. She shook her head to herself, she had absolutely no intention in taking part.

Suddenly a loud splash pulled her from her thoughts. "WHOAH!" John B gasped as a Whale emerged out of the water not far from their boat.

"Look at that beauty! There she blows!" Big John chuckled as water flew out of the Wales blow hole.

"It's beautiful." Saylor admired as the Wales tail was on full display glistening in the moonlight before it disappeared back into the water.
