Victoria got dressed for the day as she did everyday, throwing on something simple and comfortable. She settled for a moss green pair of leggings and a form fitting black long sleeved shirt. She paired the outfit with her trusty black Nike slides and a pair of fuzzy socks. She also threw her dark, curly hair into a messy bun, a few pieces falling out to frame her slender face. She didn't try to dress cute at work, she spent almost her entire day in front of a computer anyway. She threw on her blue light filtering glasses, a thin rose gold metal framed pair of glasses shaped like aviators. She didn't need glasses, but with as many hours she spent at the computer, it would give anyone a migraine. She made her way out of the bedroom her and her husband shared, seeing him sitting at the kitchen table wolfing down a bowl of cereal.

"Leaving so soon?" He asked. Victoria flashed her eyes to the clock, it was only 6:30 AM. Her normal day didn't have her leaving the house for another hour.

"Yeah, Tony needs me to hack into some files. Said it could take all day, and I know we have plans this evening so I figured getting it done early would be better." She admitted with a faint smile.

"We have plans?" He asked, his eyebrow raised at her.

"Yes, Noah. It's our one year wedding anniversary." Victoria said with a raised eyebrow at him.

"What did you have planned?" He asked, Victoria looked at him shocked and annoyed. "I asked you to plan something, six months ago. I said it was the only thing I wanted." She said calmly, but she was fuming.

"I pay most of the bills, you can at least plan a date." Noah argued, Victoria tensed up, frustrated already. Hadn't even eaten yet and her day started off crap.

"Why can't you just do this for me? Noah, I miss when you put an effort into me." Victoria admitted.

"I do put in effort." Noah argued calmly.

"Name the last thing you did for me." Victoria insisted.

"I took the trash out yesterday." Noah said with a victorious grin.

"How is that for me? You live here too.." Victoria mentioned. As if doing a simple chore was the equivalent to being a present husband.

"But that's women's work." Noah said with a shrug. Victoria rolled her eyes and grabbed her bag and headed out the door without another word. She made her way out to the small parking lot of their apartment complex, climbing into her sparkling new Audi Q-4 E-Tron. Tony had bought her a car, she made plenty of money working for Stark, but he insisted. Noah didn't even know about all the money she made, he had a few bad spending habits. So she felt it easiest to lie about her salary. Her bank account was sitting nicely, with a matching savings account. But she couldn't tell him that without him wanting to take advantage. His insistence on paying all the bills should have frustrated her, she knew it wasn't right to let him shoulder most of the bills. But she told herself that since he didn't do intimacy well, he could at least be financially there for her. Or, at least, that's what she told herself. She convinced herself that he just wasn't affectionate, that paying the bills was his way of telling her that he loved her. Who was she to refuse him that? But now he seemed to throw it in her face more than anything.

When she finally reached The Avengers compound she pulled into her marked spot, quietly making her way inside. She got along with the team fantastically, but they had more important things to worry about, so she left them alone unless they approached her.

"Good morning, Tori." Clint said casually as she made her way to the elevator.

"Good morning, Clint." Victoria responded flatly, finally stepping in the elevator. Clint was right behind her, stepping inside as well.
