"Okay, walk me through this, why did they want bunny?" Tony demanded in the hallway of the hospital.
"Not here, Stark. Someone could hear us." Steve said through gritted teeth.
"Did you SEE the room she was in? She annihilated those men. Several of them had their skulls caved in! She's definitely got the serum." Clint argued.
"Mr. Rogers, I think we all deserve to know why those men took Tor. Does she have strength?" Peter said nervously.
"We don't need to know shit!" Bucky argued.
"Guys, let's not do this here." Nat chimed in. "This pissing contest can happen another day." She said sternly.
"Do you two know something the rest of us don't?" Clint demanded.
"Let's worry about John Walker first!" Nat said confidently. She wasn't sure why the men were after Victoria, but she could tell that Bucky did know. She planned to try to get it out of him later.
"Does this have something to do with Sarah?" Tony asked. Bucky and Nat both shot their heads up and looked at him.
"Stark.." Steve said sternly, a warning not to continue. He felt the anger rising in his chest, his heart pounding. He didn't want to fight Tony, but he wasn't going to let it slide that he mentioned their daughter.
"Who's Sarah?" Scott asked innocently.
"Steve's mom..." Sam chimed in with a look of confusion. He'd remembered Bucky saying it when he'd woken up in Germany, proving that he was himself and not The Winter Soldier.
"What does his mom have to do with any of this?" Clint asked, still furious that they weren't told about how Victoria had killed those men in the warehouse.
"She doesn't." Bucky snapped, interrupting their discussion.
"I'm looking for Mrs. Remy's family?" A nurse asked sweetly when she came out of the room. Everyone turned to look at her. Steve was relieved that it ended their argument as well.
"Did anyone call Noah?" Sam asked.
"No, we didn't call Noah. You heard her, make up a lie." Nat interrupted before anyone could answer or call him.
"They're not going to tell any of us anything, someone has to call him." Sam argued.
"Steve Rogers." Steve said with a sigh. The nurse opened up the chart, reading through a few things before looking up at him.
"She is stable, whatever happened to her, she was missing most of the blood in her body when you guys got her here. I'm not even sure how she was still standing when you found her. No major injuries though. She had severe lacerations of her left hand, like it was pulled through something. The wounds have been stitched, no bones were broken so that's good. Her right shoulder was dislocated, but we repaired that during our initial exam. Now we just have to wait for her to wake up, give it time. Her body went through a severe trauma, losing that much blood. We ended up having to give her 7 pints of blood, four of which being yours, as you requested, sir." The nurse explained sweetly.
"How are you on her chart but not the rest of us, Mr. Rogers?" Peter asked.
"When her dad died, she didn't have anyone else, so she put me on file." Steve quickly lied. But it wasn't a full lie, he was on her chart because she had nobody else at the time. But it was also because of Sarah, that's when he was put on file.
"When can we see her?" Tony interrupted.
"That's up to Mr. Rogers. He gets to decide who is allowed in the room, if anyone." The nurse answered.
