Steve came downstairs in the middle of breakfast, fully dressed, keys in hand. "Where are you headed, man?" Bucky asked. Steve shrugged. "Out. I'll be back late." He said, making his way out the door without another word. Bucky stared down the hallway suspiciously, Steve didn't tell him he had plans today. Their brief encounter was all he'd seen of him all day, normally they got an early morning run in or sparred before breakfast. But today, nothing.

When breakfast was done, Bucky headed towards the garage. Nat was right behind him. "I know what you're thinking, don't." She warned.

Bucky sighed and rolled his eyes at her. "Steve doesn't just dissappear and not tell me, I want to know why." Bucky added in before Nat could respond.

"Don't you think if he wanted you to know, you would know?" Nat asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Yeah, well it seems like everyone is keeping secrets lately." Bucky said with a shrug.

"I've done what you want to do, I'm telling you not to." Nat almost pleaded. She desperately wished she could tell Bucky why he shouldn't follow Steve. The look on his face told her that he wasn't going to give up, he wasn't going to let it go.

Natasha rolled her eyes, pulling her phone out and sending Bucky a text, an address. "You found him on your own. I don't know anything." She warned before walking off. Bucky pulled up the address on his GPS and took off on his bike. It wasn't a long drive, but when he arrived he was almost convinced Nat was pranking him. She sent him to a cemetery. But he drove around quietly until he saw Steve's truck, he pulled up behind it and shut the engine off. His eyes scanned the grounds until he saw two people sitting in the grass a ways away. He assumed it had to be Steve, so he made his way to them until he recognized Victoria was the woman sitting next to him. He figured maybe it was the anniversary of her dads death, that Steve went with her to visit him. He immediately felt bad that he didn't trust Steve. But he'd already made it all the way to them, he knew Steve heard him so it was too late to turn around and leave.

"Buck's coming." Steve said quietly to Victoria. His arm was around her waist as she leaned against his chest in the grass. Her knees were pulled up to her chest, her arm wrapped around her legs, the other arm wrapped around one of Steve's legs.

"I don't have a lie for this.." Victoria said nervously. Steve lightly kissed her temple. "I don't either." He said with a sigh. "It'll be okay." He added.

"How much does he know?" Victoria asked nervously.

"Only that we were together." Steve promised.

Bucky's sympathetic expression changed to confusion when he read the headstone they were sitting in front of. It read "Sarah Michelle Rogers." What confused him was the lifespan, the birthday and day of death were only one day apart. Tomorrow 4 years ago was the day of death. He immediately regretted showing up here.

"You're too close to pretend you didn't see anything." Steve said with a sigh.

"I shouldn't have came, I'm sorry." Bucky said with a sigh, but he was too far in. So he sat down in the grass beside Steve. He assumed who the little girl was. He also assumed that this what what broke the two of them up, but he was kind of hoping they'd want to explain. He needed to hear it for himself, but it also wasn't any of his business and he knew that.

"Too late now." Victoria said quietly.

"You can tell him as much or as little as you want." Steve promised, looking to Victoria. She sighed heavily, closing her eyes. She refused to even look in Bucky's direction, she kept her head resting on the firm security of Steve's chest.
