The team stormed the compound, in hopes of getting to Victoria before anything could happen. Buck, however, dragged Steve away from the compound. "Buck, stop!" Steve screamed, swinging the shield at him and striking him across the face.

Bucky quickly swung back, pushing Steve back to roughly kick him in the sternum. He'd knocked Steve into a parked car at the compound, rushing to try and get Steve into a chokehold. "You heard Vic, she wouldn't want you storming in after her!" Bucky argued as the two roughly fought. But Bucky wasn't convinced he wanted to win, he wanted an excuse to follow Steve into the compound and make sure Victoria was safe.

"I'm not leaving her! I'd rather die than let anything happen to her!" Steve yelled back, landing another punch to Bucky's jaw. Pissed, Bucky swung back, hard.

"You're not leaving her. But we're no good to her if we get captured! Just listen to me!" Bucky yelled back, annoyed that he had to be the reasonable one. He swung again, landing a rough punch with his vibranium arm right to Steve's jaw, knocking him back.

Steve went to swing on Bucky again, but a web shot out, sticking him to the pavement. Bucky whipped his head around, a grateful nod to Peter. "Mr. Barnes is right, Tor would freak out if either one of you stormed in there and something happened to you." Peter mentioned before taking off.

With that advantage, Bucky dragged Steve away from the compound. He kept moving until they were at least a mile away, hiding behind a tree but keeping an eye on the compound. "How about you explain to me why they want Victoria if they want the serum." Bucky said sternly.

Steve sighed, putting his hands on his hips. "She has a little bit of my serum in her. She's stronger, but mostly she just heals faster and she has more endurance." Steve admitted.

"How? And why did you never mention it?" Bucky asked.

"Because she was going to die after birth, okay? She was bleeding out. I couldn't lose both of them. I can't lose her. So when they said they needed synthetic blood, I volunteered instead, demanded really." Steve explained with a sigh.

"How did these guys even find out if the team didn't know?" Bucky asked.

"I don't know! I didn't even let the doctors put it in the chart!" Steve spat. "And I know she didn't tell anyone. She was pissed when she found out." He added.

Victoria heard people at the door to the lab, she knew it wasn't the team. Tony would've overridden her order to lock the lab down and simply walked in with a smug look or demand an explanation. So she geared up, strapping several guns and knives to her body, she knew how this was about to go. She knew Steve was going to be pissed and Peter would be a nervous wreck.

"Ms. Alvarez, my systems are about to be overridden." FRIDAY announced.

"Then shut off." Victoria spat. "Shut it down and send the suits, now."

"Ms. Alvarez, if I shut down, the lab will unlock. The closest suit will not reach you in time." FRIDAY announced.

Victoria let out a deep sigh, turning on her comms again. She had it so she could hear them, but they couldn't hear her. "Guys, listen. They're about to get in. I don't know what the lie is, but make one up. Don't tell Noah I was taken." She said as confidently as she could muster.

"Tor, no. The lab is on lockdown, just sit tight." Peter demanded as he sprinted into the building, desperate to meet up with the rest of the team. But whoever had broken in, they'd disabled the elevators. So the entire team was reduced to running up the service stairs to get to the lab.

"The lab is only on lockdown until FRIDAY shuts off. I have to shut her down so they don't get into everything." Victoria answered calmly. "If I don't shut her down, they'll know who you are, Peter. They'll know everything about all of you." She added.

"FRIDAY, shut yourself down." Victoria demanded. She took a deep breath, sighing heavily as she tried her hardest to hold back tears.

"No! FRIDAY, lock it down." Tony argued.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Stark, you gave Ms. Alvarez full authority." FRIDAY answered before shutting down. Everything went black, even the flashing emergency lights shut off, the lab slowly unlocked. The vibranium paneling rising back into the ceiling, light flooded in from the windows as the windows and doors were uncovered.

Victoria basked in the uncomfortable silence, if FRIDAY was down, comms was down. She felt the vibrate of her phone, rushing to silence it before answering. But she didn't say anything, she didn't want the men to hear her.

"The suits are on the way, just fight them off until the show up, bunny. But don't think I'm not pissed about you doing this." Tony said into the phone. Victoria let out a teary laugh, but didn't answer. She sat her phone down on the table, leaving her on the call with Tony so he could hear everything.

After a few minutes, a wave of people barged through the lab in full tactical gear. She swallowed down her nerves and squatted down, moving between the tables, staying as hidden as she could as the men fanned out all around the lab.

"How do we know your Intel is right?" One of the men asked.

"A nurse at the hospital that day said she saw the Captian give her his blood with her own eyes." Another man answered.

Victoria crawled slowly through the lab, trying to stay out of the men's sight. She planned to run out of the lab, hopefully meeting up with an unmanned suit before the men noticed she was gone. She ducked under a desk, her foot hitting the leg of the table, making a slight creek in the otherwise silent room. She sighed, knowing they heard her so she stood up before they could swarm her.

"Go peacefully." One of the men demanded, Victoria let out a huff. She pulled her gun out and immediately shot the few men closest to her before rushing towards the door. One of the men grabbed onto her arm, yanking her back and onto the floor. She jumped up as quickly as she could, jumping on the man's shoulders and twisting, snapping his neck before jumping up to grab onto one of the support beams on the ceiling. She swung from the beam until she could jump onto the top of a table, shooting three more men before running out of ammo in that gun. The threw the gun at the closest man to her, distracting him so she could pull a knife out, throwing it into his throat.

Victoria jumped off the table onto the floor, inching closer to the exit, hoping a suit was on the way. There were swarms of men coming at her, she'd only ever fought off two at a time. She grabbed another gun she had strapped to her waist, shooting a few men that ran at her before lifting her leg and kicking the closest one in the sternum, knocking him back before stabbing him in the throat, pulling the blood soaked knife out of his neck before attacking another man with it. She felt a man grab onto her arm, injecting her with something. She felt things slowly start to get fuzzy as she fought the men, so she quickly shot as many as she could before she was too far gone.

The last thing she saw as she fell were the lights on the ceiling turn back on as the men swarmed her. She knew the lights turning on meant the team was back, that Tony got FRIDAY operational again. As everything turned black, she couldn't help but hope that the team would get to the lab before she was taken away.

Sorry, I can't seem to help myself when it comes to traumatizing Victoria. But isn't she a badass? 😂
