Victoria got home after the sun was already set, she cranked the AC the whole way so she wouldn't have to tell Noah that she had been sparring, she didn't even tell him that Steve taught her to fight in the first place. She wasn't surprised when she walked in Noah was sprawled out on the couch on his phone, seemingly to have done nothing all day.

"Hey, honey." She said, sitting her stuff down and sitting herself at the kitchen table.

"Hey, chalupa." He said, looking up from his phone to give her a small smile.

"Well, that's racist." Victoria said with a small huff, rolling her eyes at her husband.

"No its not, you're Mexican." Noah defended.

"Cuban, and only half." Victoria argued.

"Same thing." Noah said, waving his hand as if he was brushing her off.

"Anyway... do I have time to get a shower before we head out for our date?" She asked sweetly.

"Sure. But what you're wearing is fine." He replied, Victoria looked down at her outfit and gave a half laugh. "Really? Where are we going?" She asked.

"I figured you'd want to go to the diner we like." He admitted, Victoria felt her heart break. She asked him to plan an anniversary date and he decided on a diner. He clearly put no effort into their date.

"Is that fine?" He asked, Victoria put on a fake smile and nodded. "Sure." She lied.

"Cool, you're driving." He said, hopping off the couch and putting his shoes on.

"Can't you drive? I just worked all day." She pleaded.

"You act like it's going to kill you to drive. You just sit in front of a screen all day, anyway." Noah said with a huff. Victoria snatched the keys off the table before he could grab them. "I'll drive." She said. She missed when they were still newly together, when he would drive her everywhere, she'd wake up to paragraphs long good morning texts, surprise dates and flowers just because. Now she was lucky if he even kissed her once a day.

Victoria drove the two to the diner, annoyed when he paid more attention to his phone than to her. She ordered their nachos to share and a club sandwich. Noah ordered a burger, the two waited in silence for their food.

"Happy Anniversary." Victoria said after a while of just watching him watch his phone.

"Happy Anniversary." Noah responded, finally putting his phone down at looking over at his wife. "You gonna let me take you into the bedroom when we get home?" He asked. She hated the way he gave up on wooing her, gave up on foreplay.

"Sure." She replied with a small, fake smile.

"That didn't sound convincing." He said with a huff.

"How excited do you want me to be in the middle of a restaurant?" She asked. Luckily the food showing up snapped their attention elsewhere. The two shared the nachos, Victoria only eating a few bites of her sandwich and Noah eating half of his burger. The packed up the leftovers and headed for checkout. Surprisingly Noah paid, she didn't expect him to but she was glad he offered.

"So I don't ovulate for another couple of days, but maybe we'll be lucky anyway." Victoria said with a smile as she drove the two home.

"You're not on the pill anymore?" He asked, looking over at her both shocked and annoyed.

"No, we were trying for a baby after the first year?" Victoria asked.

"I don't want to have kids anymore. The world isn't safe." Noah replied coldly.
