To Hestress kell an ancient home
Of warring men that long had roamed
From many paths and walks of life
That came to auction forms for strifeThe peasant's went in smallest band
In hopes to set about their plan.
But many heartbreaks soon were born
By men who earned the city's scornFor little respect for little gold
The soldiers felt for peasant's hold
So none would take the thing they held
Nor help defend the place they dwelled. And harsher words throughout the day
The peasant's meet along their way.
Until at last yet one now spoke
And peaceful council held yet broke. On peasant man his blaster drew
With high intent that men be slew."I'll take your gold for price of time
That men in council robbed me blind
For highest risk such low reward
I'll teach what comes when gold you horde!"But sudden flash of light erupts
That drew a close to life abrupt.
As warrior fell beneath a blade
That bright with greenish light was made. And man who wielded sword yet stood
Ashroud inside a greyish hood
Before he turn and quickly left
The place he left of life bereft. But seeing man the peasants go
To place the wand'ring warrior bodes.
In hopes to seek the vaunted skill
Of one who fear of blade instilled.Through narrow streets that wend and sprawl
To warring man the peasant's call
But never warrior turns his head
by hasty strides he's onward sped. But still they press to win their way
That blade in service still be gave
To peasant folk for meager fee
That made yet many other's flee.Until at last the warrior turned
His ire was high and wrath yet earned."Why seek me swift for task you want
To such degree my will you daunt
With endless whim respect forsook
To follow man on path he took."Then peasant's pleaded well their case
With bended knees and will abased."Our village stands on brink of death
Yet soon of any goods bereft
By bandit clan who forest haunts
And strength so fell our wills it dauntsWe seek the aid of warring men
In hopes their arms this conflict ends
And come to bid them follow ways
That bandits warring man might slay."For moment warrior seems to pause
When hearing peasants feeble cause,
But seeing face he swift relents
And thinks to help the men yet sentAt least to point along the way
The path they need to men yet pay
To hold their home and keep it well
The place where all their forbears dwell."Note here probationers the mention of primordial city Hestress Kell. It was a famed city noted for the plethora of mercenaries hailing from varying sects. The idea that any Jedi would ever be found amongst the common rank of such a place is beyond the pale and shows the author of this story only had a cursory understanding of the path of the Jedi. The implication that the services of a Jedi could be purchased is also troubling. It is fortunate for you probationer that I am here to point out all these subtextual discrepancies. Without the aid of a trained mind who knows what flights of fancy this text might fill the young Jedi's mind.
