So men about their task now set
And all their plans are quick beget.
To lead the men in building walls
That long about the village sprawls

Do Kelan and Candor quickly go
To fortify the low abode.
So men of foreign might be turned
And forth from walls of village spurned.

The Cable goes and Towan takes
To train the men in warring make.
With weapons long they force their hand
To teach the men to make their stand.

While Tarlson tends to Saubio's hurt
And both do aid the healing work
And heal his leg by force and will
In hopes to join the battle still.

And Jubie at length the woods does search
To know the place the bandits girt
Their loins for all their warring ways
And learn of all the plans they made.

And Varik speaks to pris'ner held
Inside the hut he current dwells
Yet staved and tied and kept at length
With all his bind defying strength.

And Varik learns his many ways
And all the customs man is gave.
How folk he's born from fear the dead
The folk from which their line is bread

Who long are gone but still they heed
In all their many working deeds.
And many weeks did come and go
Inside the place they current bode

Until at last then knew yet came
And Jubie storm these words yet deign

"In mountain keep the thieves I saw
Who long defied our ways and laws
In place yet high these men are held
At length inside a caves they dwell."

And Kelan hearing knews he earned
Into a hut did swift adjourn
Along with rest of warring men
To plot along and learn their ends.
