Through wall of home the pair now crashed
The green and red like lightning clashed.
And all the people stood on street
Now fled in fear from dueling feat.Except for one yet large in frame
Who stood and gazed with eyes acrazed,
And took a joy in fight he saw
That long through city streets now sprawled. And both the pair now sought to end
The other's life their own defend.
And back and forth they both did vie
With will to end the present tie.Until at last the green prevailed
His calm and even head availed.
By tiring man until at last
His foe to death by sword was cast. And brute who stood and watched the pair
With hooting calls and woops declared
A savage grin astride his face
To see this fight in such a place. And warring man resenting much
That man would act in way that's such
Departs in haste from loudly cries
And angry glare his acts defy. Now back through hole of wall he stole
Were seven men now stayed his goal.
Inside he knelt again he spoke
And wonder great of men he broke."My deep regret to each I give
And ask again a thing I bid.
That each would grant a solemn vow
Before this man below you cowed.I bid these test to know your will
That great restraint in men instilled
Would stay their hand from thing I ask
You all abstain when doing task.I ask that darker side of force
You well restrain along the course
Of journey took and way we go
When helping men in peasant bode."And long the man now gathered close
In secret mumbles gave a vote
And one did leave the others stayed
As man himself at time did bay.The author here is obviously alluding to a sort of proto Jedi order. Given that as previously mentioned this story is almost certainly adapted from a folk tale this is no doubt an addition of the author himself.
