The Chores

And out on task did Candor go
To seek the place the other's bode
Their bidding men to join their fight
Or face alone the bandit's might.

And rest of men to task their give
Returned to chores they sure were bid.
As Kelan worked to build the walls
They made in hopes to aid their cause.

And Jubei in forest snares does set
In hopes it warring will abets.
While Towan still with Cable works
To train the village men for hurt

They'll try inflicting well on foes
And all that will of men oppose.
And Tarlson still does Saubio heal
Though near to health his leg does feel.

And pair the other men yet aid
By words and lessons both have made.
At night does Saubio teach his craft
And ways to wage with saber wrath

To all the warring men with blade
That bright of purest light is made.
And Varik still with pris'ner sets
And learns of myths his folks beget.

As man had done from very start
Unraveling all his peoples heart.
And days did pass and come and go
Inside the place the peasant's bode.

Then Candor come with host of folk
That far from all their village broke.
They food and stores to place do bring
With all the goods that men do deem

To Kelan Candor quickly rode
And news he's give to man now told.

"Yet five have joined our warring plan
And send along their folk in hand.
In hopes to help and guard this bode
And save themselves along in tow.

But one refused and stands alone
They think without our help they'll hone
And make defense against their foes
Though sure they'll gain yet naught but woe."

And Kelan nods and turns to rest
Who came to help them all with test
And forth from group the elders stand
Presenting selves for start of plan.

To hut he ask them all adjourn
To see what good their scheming earned...
