And Candor through the tunnels crept
While foe's around him deeply slept
Their rest yet aid by turn of force
That sent them down to slumber's course. And forth he went into a room
Where single man by light in gloom
Was lit and sat at screen at night
And strove by self as bandits plight. And Candor quick a gleamer cast
To help achieve his spying task.
So man a higher rank would see
The one who all these bandit's leads. Then forth he went and quiet spoke
And bid the man to give him note.
"I bid my servant quick appraise
Your liege of all the tools yet lied. And things at present time were gave
And numbers high that men yet bade.
Then man did panic hard at sight
To know his leader came at night. To see what things they had in store
That bandit's keep for battle chore.
And quick the things he sought and spoke
Thus telling man yet all of noteEight hundred men my bandit chief
Eight hundred men to grant a grief
To all who dare to cross our path
And tempt our hand by testing wrath.Along with many guns and ships
That thieving ways are hands have gift."Then Candor spoke and sought from man
The coming hours thieving plans."What warring plans are current made
This knowledge quick I ask be gave."And man did speak and pointed out
Yet seven places men would route.Yet each was small no strength they held
To great in ways of war yet dwell.
Against the bandit horde for long
With all their might and arms yet strong. The one they served was first of all
The other ones before him sprawled.
And Candor spoke and wove a spell
So man in sleep yet long would dwellForgetting thing that just transpired
Yet even though the cost be dire.
And Candor copied plans they made
Unto a stick he's present gave.
