Alone inside the hut they sat
Their haste by fearsome sight begat.
Now telling men in quickest speech
The sights in cave that men had reached. And silence fell on council host
To hear the things their foe did boast.
And none did speak till all was told
By men who went of venture bold."This bring alarm" did Kelan say
"The might of bandits armed array.
Yet fear for some is greater still
Then threat some sights in hearts instill. Two hundred speeder's threaten not
The village walls this man has wrought.
In single file those men must ride
Through forest place they long abide. On paths and roads they cut to reach
This place from goods they'll soon beseech.
We'll simply make a snare on way
Undoing those who dare to braveTheir paths along forgotten roads
Where none yet go or long abode.
The gunner ships a greater threat
To all inside this village set."Then Jubie spoke and gave his thought
A plan that mind on journey wrought
When men had sought the village fast
And out in night had swiftly cast."We know what day these men will come
With beating blast of battle drum.
Before that time does dare arrive
I'll go yet forth and bandit's spy.Destroying ships inside the night
When man can hide in lack of light."And hearing words did Kelan nod
And bid this path Jubei might trod.
Before to other task he turned.
The one that all did great unnerve."The five who draw from darker side
Of force and by it's poison bide.
They lead this host of men I fear
Who ever come and draw yet near.Myself unwilling found at time
To draw and darker powers find
Was cast from all my feudal lords
They fearing man would fail their hordesFor lack of power wrath does give
And warring ways it's will does bid.
These men I fear the other path
To quick consumed by darkness' wrathDid find themselves yet cast away
From lordly host yet high arrayed.
Thus turned they forth to such a life
And gained for self by waging strifeA way to study darker powers
And add to strength through eldritch hours
Of practice give to ways of force
Till minds have waxed yet foul and worse."The Saubio spoke and tried to calm
The man providing words as balm."My leg to proper form restored
Will aid us much in battle chore.
My subtle craft and way with blade
Are all the comfort need and gave. For years I've mastered path of sword
Enough to face this meager horde
Of men who wield the crimson blade
And go about the world as badeBy darker powers men may find
And fast to selves through spells yet bind.
And other men this craft can learn
By heeding word I give they'll earn.A subtler craft with saber made
With purest light that forms the blade."And Kelan nods when hearing words
That man had used their hearts to gird
For war that quickly came at time
And great he hopes that truth they bind. Then Candor spoke and told a plan
That long he thought would strengthen hand
Of village men do present fend
And seek a way to conflict end."On stick I took I kept their plans
They made to rob the whole of land
The other village men do seek
From which they go to steal and reapWhat things these men did never sow
Yet still they think themselves are owed.
Yet six I've found this proof I bring
That such is plan the bandit's deem.Yet let me go I'll bring them forth
To help with cause they'll see the worth.
If bandits village fail to take
They'll know that such they'll own as fate."Then Kelan on the elder looked
And man his hoary head now shook
That such a path was well yet bid
And task at time was well yet give.
