The State of Things

And Sabio after many moons
Regained his health through Tarlson's boon
Who though his face was sour of late
Did still at length his pain abate.

So up he rose and went yet forth
The try and further will of court
That men had made to plan this war
And end the bandit's planned for score.

So out he went where men did train
To try and bring the thieves their pain.
By will of Towan lough and crass
Who long in waring chore did bask.

"Be strengthened well you little men
For time does come for battle's end.
The men shall writhe when day shall come
Along the beat of battle drum."

And Sabio seeing such did laugh
Now drawing forth his rival's wrath.

"I say to speak or cease you smirk
Though doing such you deem as curt
What trouble bring  ye forth to man
Who helps devise our battle plan."

And Sabio missed not single beat
To launch his plan and foe defeat

"To call it planning flatters well
And place where little thought does dwell
You merely teach the paltry craft
To try and cease the bandits wrath

But little good would craft yet do
To help these men to bandits hew.
Refinement calls for such a task
As ones before us current ask."

And back and forth again they go
To war with words and anger sow.
And eyes do roll to see again
The foes in truth now secret friends...

And further field do rest of men
Now work to try and fortress fend.
Does Tarlson go resenting charge
On any labor given hard

By men he knows who plot and deem 
Who covert knows their secret schemes.
And Jubie out in woods does work
To plan the way to bandits hurt

Before the even reach the walls
Where men at present time are sprawled.
While Candor works to make the wall
Along with Kelan's strength now sprawl.

And Varick works to smooth the will
Of men who deem yet other's ill
To make old foes as allies work
To bring to mutual foe their hurt.

And Cable off with maid now bids
Though feudal law does such forbid...
