The Dance of Shadows

And warriors watched from forest keep
Now hid inside the shadows deep.
As foes did circle blades inflamed
For each the others life would claim.

Then sudden men by chaotic clash
That let the realm with glowing flash.
Engaged their foes with blazing light
That men did use abusing fight

And back and forth the pair did vie
But neither one that's stood would die.
Or fall upon the ground yet lain
By hand of other man yet slain.

Yet still the one who chased the men
And forth in night from cave did send.
The spies who sought their secret held
Into the night where darkness dwell.

Did start prevailing over foe
To rest of warrior's highest woe.
If man who hunted spies did win
Then out in forest scouts he'll send.

And find the truth of place they keep
The village men do present seek.
To guard from men who current work
To bring about it's highest hurt.

If such is deigned to soon in time
A meager guard these men will find.
Not given time to build their walls
That high above that place must sprawl.

So Tarlson worked and used the force
To alter duels fabled course.
A slight of hand the hero made
That caused the leg of foe be gave.

And down he slipped upon the ground
Where crimson sword his neck yet found.
And duel came to sudden end
As men their ways and paths did fend

By helping foe who's less a threat
And sword of man did sure abet.
Then back to rest their foe did turn
To seek the praise he thought he earned.

By raising sword yet high in sky
Before the crowd that rolling lied.
And all the present stood their course
Acknowledge man with show of force.

As sabers sprang and light the sky
With glowing red and crimson dye.
Yet four in midst excluding man
Who Tarlson helped by subtle plan.

And all there gathered waxed concerned
To see the foes their task had earned...
