Inside the walls the strangers go
Inside the place the Jedi bode.
Into the meeting halls they steal
And start to bicker well and deal.

Now back and forth they both now speak
To see if understandings meet
And long the hours on through the night
Does steal away and blur their sight.

And Tarlson high above the rest
This thing that's wrought does sure detest
Although unknown's what thing he holds
As high insult so loud and bold.

But out he goes and leaves the work
Of planning ways to bandits hurt
To other men at seeks he ease
None knowing heart he hold displeased.

But lo a newer trouble came
When man a walk did try to claim
To try and ease his warring mind
And inner peace to try and find.

For long across the way he went
On journey only whim had sent
And out amongst deserted eaves
His ally Cable Tarlson sees...

In arms a peasant girl he bars
The one the man was sworn to guard.
And words to low for mortal ear
That he alone was cursed to hear

By dint of force that man was gave
And such he hears is very grave
A love on eve of battle blooms
A love he knows for certain's doomed.

And Tarlson quickly turns from sight
To slip into the shade of night
And wind his way to Kelan's place
There telling man this news in haste.

Through street the jedi briskly creeps
As though feet and ground don't meet
Like just a vapor Jedi flies
So risk of love he might deny.

And end this thing on battle eve
That sure the rest of men shall grieve.
Through streets of town he hasty went
His will of any patience spent.

And lo to home he swiftly came
That former meeting used to claim
Before he flew into the night
To seek for soul some deep respite.

And lo as man did draw yet near
The private speech of master's hears
The man who did not seek to spy
But both these times by fluke defied

He all the plans of other men
To hide their wants and secret fend...
