(Warning: Miscarriage)

Memory

He still couldn't believe it himself, two positive lines were reflecting straight back up at him. They had done it, he was pregnant! He smiled a genuine smile for the first time in quite a while. Still having no clue to how he was going to tell Jesse, Kix knew he had to tell someone so he went to his big brother who was currently docking with the 501st.

With careful steps Kix walked towards the mess hall where he found the particular person he had been looking for. Walking over to the table he was met with groans and smiles. Yes, the medic had just blown up on most of his brothers for not being careful and the rest had to apologise since they didn't have the safety cap on their guns. Rex still shivered thinking about when the medic stormed into the training room only to glare at them all. Kix was one scary medic and he could make even Jedi's shake with fear.

Jesse, Cody and Helix smiled up at his approach while Rex, Fives, Echo, Hardcase, Tup and Dogma let out small groans. Ahsoka waved from where she was sitting beside them.

"Please tell me we didn't do anything else wrong?" Hardcase whined looking at his brother who just raised a pointed eyebrow. Jesse smiled. Kix ignored their childish behaviour and turned to face the commander.

"Cody, can I have a word, privately?" Kix asked, ignoring the others making odd murmurs about the commander being in trouble. Cody only nodded, passing his tray to Rex, to get rid of while he followed Kix from the mess hall. "What is it, Kix?" Cody asked tiredly. Kix made a signal to say 'not here'. Cody nodded directing Kix into the officer barracks where only Commander Bly was. The clone happily left the room when Cody asked.

As soon as they were alone, Kix grew quiet and it became a concern to Cody.

"Vod'ika, is everything alright?" Cody asked in concern as he pressed against Kix's side. The medic only smiled, pulling out a small handkerchief and handing it over to Cody. He took it cautiously and opened it only to gasp.

"Ori'vod, you are going to be an uncle!" Kix said with a smile. Cody grinned at him pulling Kix into a tight hug. The two continued to hug even when the door opened, Cody whispered congratulations.

"Woah! Am I interrupting here? Cody you are needed in the command room as is Kix"

The two clones turned to see Commander Tano who smiled at the two. Cody with a skillful hand slipped the pregnancy test back in the handkerchief and into Kix's hidden pocket. Kix nodded in thanks moving to walk beside Cody, the two had grins on their faces scaring multiple clones who backed away in fear.

Ahsoka led the way to the command room where the generals and Rex were waiting as was Jedi Mace Windu. With the proper greeting Cody and Kix stood side by side hearing the plan the generals had come up with. Rex watched the two wearily. The only reason why Kix was in the meeting was because they needed Kix to know exactly where to go and direct a medical triage out on the field. Kix nodded along and also took pride in himself when he corrected the Jedi's plans. Obi-wan had to bite his tongue a few times especially when he knew the medic was right while Anakin stood there proud of his medic.

"What if we do it this way?" Mace Windu suggested.

"That could be a better strategy; the cliff walls would provide a better passage and protection" Obi-wan replied. Ahsoka nodded, "We could put a few troops on either side as protection," Obi-wan pointed out.

"Or you could be sending hundreds of injured civilians to their death as the narrow cave walls are not the only problem. But, you would make them walk through the poisonous corridors of forest walls. This plan is as stupid as the last one. One shot fired would not only cause mayhem but would cause a mudslide. I suggest we stick with General Skywalker's plan if you do intend to survive, sir" Kix pointed out, shocking them all. Anakin who smiled, the medic did have a valid point none of them had taken into encounter.
