Bravely the three brothers fought in sync keeping Ozius away from Crosshair who smirked, he knew he had to end it but a few things had to happen first. These were kept between the brothers but he was proud to call Cody and Kix his brothers especially after everything they had gone through together, he was just terrified of being left in the darkness on his own, he wouldn’t be able to fight it, not this time. But thankfully their celestial parents were watching over them and Koragg had mentioned he would not leave him in the dark form, he would take it back, setting him free. 

“Crosshair, head out of the clouds!” Kix snapped, shoving his brother aside when Oizus thought he would have a lucky shot only for Cody to force him back. 

“Thanks” Crosshair muttered, moving to block Oizus attack on Cody who was breathing heavily, he had been taken the brunt of the attacks of the day, his body was exhausted and he was still bleeding despite his ‘healing’. Which to be honest was an illusion because as far as he was aware, his brothers would be totally fine without him as would his son, who would be in no doubt raised by Kix, since he wanted him to raise him.

“HAHA! You really think you can keep me from him…not when one of you is battling their own heartbeat while the other is bleeding…of course I can smell it!” Oizus laughed especially when his aim was precise as his leg connected into the underside of Cody’s ribs and the marshall commander let out a scream of pain, which alerted the others. 

“Oh father, he’s…” 

“Stand down Althea, there is still time. We do not get involved unless the darkness calls on the balance, this is the fight the darkness must end. The light must just remain in the area and…” the father was interrupted by Cody’s body rolling to the side as he coughed up blood. Kix’s attention changed, he scrambled to his older brother's side unaware that he had left an opening for Oizus who took it. 

“KIX LOOK OUT!” Jesse and Scorch yelled, the medic looked up only to gasp in agony, the sword of Oizus had gone straight through his chest. Cody looked up in shock to see his bleeding brother, who he caught in his arms. “Kix, no please…don’t do this to me….Casper, please” Cody urged, while coughing up his own blood. Oizus laughed, going to pull the sword out when he was kicked violently to the otherside of the dome by a furious Crosshair who welcomed the darkness even more. 

“Father, can we step in?” Koragg turned to his father, his sister Althea watching as well. 

“Not yet, we must allow the darkness more time, once the golden crust appears. I will allow one of you to heal the chosen one while I deal with the balance, understood?” the father’s directives had both his children nodding, as he lay a hand on each of their shoulders. “Trust me, I am struggling not to rush in and hold your brothers close” the father admitted. 

His words caught the attention of Dooku and Edira, the parents of the three fighting the battle ahead of them. 

“Is there anything we can do?” Wrecker grumbled from where he was holding Tech close, Hunter shook his head as he felt Echo tightening his grip on him. They were thankful that Omega had been forced through the portal especially since Crosshair was fighting in the most violent tactic style possible. 

“Come on kid, you’ve got this” Boss whispered, holding tightly to Coric while the other members of Delta Squad apart from Dove and Grey held each other, watching Crosshair defend his downed brothers. The marksman was struggling, he really was but he wasn’t backing down and Oizus was actually admiring that about him. 

“You do know if you just gave up, I would spare your life after taking the souls of everyone here as a reward for…” 

Cody’s groan caught Crosshairs attention, he glanced to the side only to gasp. Cody’s eyes were shut while Kix lay in his arms, both of his brothers bleeding out.
