Five Years Later…
Time passed slowly to some, fast to others and just in a moment for another but that didn’t stop the fight against the growing armies out in the universe which fought like cats and dogs to who was in charge. But with the added political leaders and the hidden planets coming out of the blue, the universe was more at peace than war especially when the stories about the clones came out and the way the Emperor tortured people, it came out that he had hurt children and some in the Empire were shocked, dropping everything on the spot and leaving as they did not agree with the past leader.
Even the clones who had escaped the sudden change in war settled down into their own routines, many of them took the opportunity to join with the public king of Serenno who spoke up for the clones and when asked why he did it. His reply was always, “I lived amongst them all, they are family”. Of course some out there didn’t believe the clones were anything but soldiers. However, they soon learned their lessons via either attacking the wrong people or getting a solid threat from a very protective king.
“Mama!” a small voice had auburn eyes blinking from where they looked out the window to a small young boy named Orion who ran for him. With ease Cody scooped up his child and lifted him onto his hip.
“Have you been good for your grandbuir?” Cody softly whispered, moving away from the window and towards the balcony, his eyes blinking up at the stars.
“Yes! We went flying through the stars! Uncle Boba is going to show me how to….” Orion’s babbling had Cody smiling as he looked into the distance while he nodded along to his son’s story, “....and then we went to see Uncle Kix and….” his words continued as Cody blinked back tears. It was hard being the one left behind but the least he could do was allow his son to explore the universe while he ruled the peaceful planet known to many as Serenno. “And then Uncle Jesse revealed that Little Bella is walking without any help, although it took her a bit longer, Uncle Jesse said….” Orion continued to talk unaware of the tears running down his mothers face.
“Okay, that’s enough. I think it’s time for bed and you can tell me all about it in the morning” Cody softly whispered to his yawning son who lay his head against his mother’s neck. He was out like a light.
“He really doesn’t know when to zip it, does he?” a joking tone had Cody wiping his tears and turning around to face someone who he had come to care about, someone who saw a side of him that he rarely showed.
“You could say that, thank you for taking him” the soft voice had the man smiling as he followed Cody only to watch him put his son down and into bed.
“It’s my pleasure, I honestly don’t mind and besides it I like spending time with him and…you” the voice of Wooley had him smiling as he nodded at his former lieutenant who had become his now right hand man, his personal guard to his king status. Cody could only smile as he reached a hand towards Wooley who took it with a smile and twirled his king into his chest. Cody relaxed into the warm chest who in all honesty kept him going. “I think you might want to get some rest, you aren’t looking too good, mesh’la” Wooley whispered, his hand running over the pale skin of the king, the one who had been in and out of meetings the past few days and was sick, he just wouldn’t admit it.
“I can’t rest, I’ve got too much stuff to do and…” Cody froze feeling a disruption on the planet, he actually cried out in pain, he would have fallen to his knees if it weren’t for Wooley’s strong arms.
“Shh, I’ve got you. Tell me what it is and I will go deal with it. You need rest” Wooley urged, Cody frowned, he felt pain in his chest flare up again and as an explosion in the outer city revealed the clone city. “I’m going to kill whoever it is, stay here” Wooley whispered, scooping up Cody and lying him in the king's bed, technically it was their shared bed since Cody never slept without Wooley at his side. Cody only rolled over, holding his hand tightly to his chest. Wooley didn’t want to leave him so instead he sent for another, a maniac and two very protective idiots. “Easy, I’ve got you”
