A Month Later…

A long month had passed since they had all been captured and the deaths of the brothers had hit them all hard especially the children. Dove never strayed far from her father’s side, lieutenant Jesse who sat in silence, he held tightly to Dove who slept in his arms. Beside the two were Grey and Hardcase both remaining close in their time of mourning. They shared a cell with Cad Bane, Padme, Shaak Ti, Rex, Ahsoka, Anakin and Yoda with Delta Squad beside him, they were practically on top of each other for the limited room they all had.

Opposite them another cell held the members of the bad batch with Fives, Angel, Orion, Obi-wan, Quinlan and Mace Windu. Count Dooku hadn’t been seen since he had been dragged away with his dead sons a month ago. The babies had barely been given food from the emperor’s squad who had fun throwing in a liquid which had been tested out by Fives being the test subject, he confirmed it to be some form of milk, from where they never knew but it hadn’t made the children sick.

“Hunter, Angel’s refusing her bottle again. Your turn” Wrecker grumbled passing Angel to the sergeant who had been snoozing with Omega in his arms, he immediately took their other daughter and tried to feed her only for her to scream and cry. Waking anyone who wasn’t already awake.

“Sorry” Hunter murmured to those in their cell who just waved him off.

Orion began crying in Tech’s arms, the engineer could only comfort the baby who kept reaching for Obi-wan, the said jedi only looked blankly at his son while he turned to get comfort from Quinlan who could only wrap him up making several of them glare at the two.

“Shh, you are safe” Tech whispered rocking the baby with ease, Dove sighed blinking awake seeing the batch out of their element. Echo went to help Tech when the doors to the cells were thrown open quite violently and a certain bitchy individual was dragged into the room.

“GET YOUR FILTHY HANDS OFF ME!”

Those six cold words had all of them freezing, Crosshair! The marksman was alive, he shoved himself to his feet only for several guns to be pointed straight at him.

“Now, calm down. Remember what’s at stake here?” An imperial officer walked into the room with his hands clasped, Crosshair could only glare, crossing his arms tightly over his chest.

“Fuck off” Crosshair swore turning his head away from the officer only to catch the batch’s eyes for a split second.

“Good, you are learning much better than that father you have. Since, you know they are alive, come with me and you can return later on after we are finished testing”

Crosshair only glared, he ignored the looks of the others around the room as he took in them all before his eyes lingered on Omega, Angel, Orion and Dove a little longer before he hung his head and followed after the officer, the doors slammed shut loudly behind him.

“Okay, what the hell was that?” Rex called out, Ahsoka shrugged beside him cuddling close while Anakin wore a thoughtful expression.

“I don’t care! He’s alive!” Wrecker exclaimed loudly only for the lights to switch off in the cells which signalled that they all had to shut up and go to sleep. Angel continued to cry in her sleep as Orion remained silent.

“Father, do you think dad’s truly gone?”

Jesse looked down at Dove only to sigh, he didn’t have the answer but the look of hope in his daughter’s eyes had him whispering, “I don’t think so, he does like to scare us when he can”, Dove could only grin as her eyes closed hoping this pain would end.

A couple of hours later…

Hunter groaned, waking up only to hear a suckling noice, Angel was finally eating? Hunter blinked awake only to see that Angel was gone from his arms and when he looked around, he took notice of his daughter with the exception that she was in the arms of someone he thought was lost to them for good and on top of that, the blood running from the man’s back had him frowning.
