Chapter 35

Climbing to his feet, Cody turned to glare at his attacker only to find it to be Kix, the medic had his arms crossed tightly over his chest. 

"Kobi, enough. Not here. Orion needs you" 

Cody only nodded, he closed his eyes and took a deep breath as he made his way over to Jesse who gladly handed Orion over only for Kix to be wrapped up by the lieutenant. 

"You okay?" Kix whispered, Cody nodded. He moved to lean against the wall when his father passed him something, Cody took the necklace with thanks and placed it on before he found himself watching the rain hit the window. Orion babbled up at him while Dooku only rubbed his nose, he had forgotten how explosive his eldest was. 

"Where were we?" Dooku turned to the Jedi who wore confliction on their faces as they turned to discuss something none of the others were allowed near well except one. Cody was the closest as he leaned against the wall playing with his giggling son.

"Kix?" 

"Hmmm" Kix turned to see Echo had got his attention, "Oh, he's above you" Kix pointed above where in fact a snoozing marksman was. Crosshair was on the metal rafters above, he was clearly asleep and beside him was Tech who had vanished earlier on. The engineer was fiddling with something beside his sleeping partner.

"So, when's the wedding?" Fives turned smugly towards the batch who were all startled at the question even Wrecker who was holding Angel in his arms. 

"Guess we have never thought about that?" Hunter rubbed his nose feeling an imaginary headache on its way. Echo could only grin while Omega soon brought Grey, Dove and Ahsoka over to the conversation. 

"And I wouldn't even start thinking about it until you confirm with your younger lovers of the possibilities of marriage" Kix interrupted their conversation, Hunter could only nod knowing the two above had very different opinions about life choices. Tech would need evidence while Crosshair was just conflicted in general. 

"Alastor, please come down from there" 

Crosshair didn't even acknowledge his father which led to Kix gesturing for Hunter to step in. 

"Tech, please will you and Cross come down. Dooku wants Cross" Hunter spoke into his communicator, he received a confirmation and two minutes later the two ziplined down. One more awake than the other, Crosshair crossed his arms over his chest like a petulant child. 

"Alastor a word please" Dooku turned to his youngest who only rolled his eyes and walked towards his father. Kix moved instinctively as Dooku gestured for him to join. 

"Wonder what's so important that they are discussing without us?" Hardcase said leaning against Jesse who shrugged.

"Whatever it is must not be up for discussions from Cody's dark glare" Fives added gesturing over to the commander glaring at Dooku. 

"You want us to do what?!" 

Kix roared at Dooku who only crossed his arms as the medic placed his body in the way of Crosshairs, the younger marksman deep in his own thoughts. 

"This isn't up for discussion it has been decided" 

"You are aware we know where the door is and we aren't your little pawns on a battlefield!" Kix shouted, his tone cold and protective. Dooku only shook his head, he knew the two older ones of his three kids wouldn't approve of the plan. 

"So who decided this damn plan, you or the goblin?" Crosshairs questioned tone had all attention drawn to him. Yoda was impressed that the youngling in front of him had insulted a grand master without a care in the world.
