SAMANTHA's POV

Cass: Alam mo, first time lang nangyari to. Walang update si Cong kung papasok ba sya or hindi. Never kasi yun na-late e.

I checked my watch and it's almost 10am. His staff are waiting for his arrival. Pero kahit anino nya, hindi pa namin nakikita.

Samantha: Baka naman may inasikaso lang or masama ang pakiramdam. Syempre tao lang din naman, napapagod.

Cass: And now you're defending him.

Samantha: Haha. No way.

I'm trying not to be defensive pero it turns out like that. I sarcastically laugh and roll my eyes.

Cass: He's here!

Cass announced and they quickly fell in line in front of his office to greet him. I turned my head and saw his car coming. Bakit pumasok pa?

I stayed where I was, trying not to have contact with him. Batiin ko man sya or hindi, nothing will change. He got out of his car, wearing his usual polo shirt and maong pants plus his sunglasses. I just stare at him while he walks to his office.

I sat on my chair and started to face the computer to check his stuff for me to better understand his work arounds. Trying to make myself busy para hindi ko sya mapansin.

Then someone tapped on my desk and I saw Matt, smiling at me.

Matt: Hi friend!

Samantha: Gov! Hi, good morning.

Matt: I heard you made a proposal? Irrigation system?

Samantha: Ah, yes po. It's just a random idea.

Matt: I'm here so Sandro and I can talk about it. See you around!

Samantha: Sige po, thanks Gov for stopping by.

I took a deep breath. I feel odd. I turn around and check everyone, I feel like someone is looking at me.

Cass: Sam! Pasok muna ako sa loob, tawag ako ni Cong.

Samantha: Uhm-hmm. Okay.

I checked some of the files on the computer and saw some of their upcoming projects. From the people related and working on the projects is written there. The Marcoses are somehow connected to big business associations and companies. One of them is the SEF Group Ltd. I browse on the internet to gather more information about it. The Company offers interior decoration, alteration, building addition, electrical and mechanical construction services. SEF also offers project management services. The Company operates in Singapore and the United Arab Emirates. And now, they already made their name in the Philippines and start their operations.

Then there's these familiar names written on the file. Leon Fortalejo, Bernard Fortalejo, Romano Fortalejo and Margarita Cruz-Fortalejo, plus their business partners, Marco and Alicia De la Vega of De la Vega Group of Companies.

I feel a sudden pain in my head. Memories are flashing but still blurry. I can hear their voices. These names, I think I know them. Para akong mababaliw.

Samantha: Damn it. No, please.

I heard the phone rang and with a heavy head, I tried answering the call.

Samantha: H-hello.

Sandro: To my office, now.

I couldn't help but to look inside Sandro's office when I heard his voice over the phone. He was frowning at me.
