SiMON's POV

I was in the middle of a meeting with the investors when someone called me. It's from an unknown number. Who could that be?

Ranni: That's it Mr. Marcos. I hope we meet your standards and expectations about this project.

Simon: Call me Simon, Ran. Just Simon. I bet my family, the Marcos Clan can't wait to work with you, lalo na yung parents ko. They actually waited enough to meet you.

Ranni: Well, we are happy and excited to start this partnership with you, too. Lalo na we just recently began our operation here in the Philippines. As part of SEF, I can say that we chose the right people to trust our company with.

Simon: To my curiosity, if you don't mind me asking, what does SEF mean?

Ranni: It's my youngest cousin's initials. Sorry I can't tell you her name. That's confidential.

Simon: A heiress huh?

Ranni: Sure it is. Want to go for some coffee?

But suddenly my phone vibrated and the unknown number is calling again.

Ranni: Go ahead, answer it.

Simon: Thanks, excuse me.

I turn my back at them and leave the conference room.

Simon: Hello?

Samantha: Si........ Simon?

Simon: Speaking. Who's this?

Samantha: Si... it's Sam....

Simon: Samantha? Are you alright? What happened? Why are you crying?

Samantha: N-nothing. Gusto ko lang ng kausap.

Simon: Where are you?

Samantha: S-sa bahay.

Simon: Bahay? Bakit ka nasa bahay? You're supposed to be with Sandro di ba?

Samantha: Uhm-hmm.

Simon: Did something happen?

Samantha: B-busy ka ba?

Simon: Hold on.

The people from the conference started to come out since it's already lunch time.

Simon: Ran, I'm sorry. I have an emergency. Maybe we can have coffee next time?

Ranni: Sure, no worries. Thanks again, Simon. See you soon!

I put my phone again on my ear and check on Sam.

Simon: Sam? Are you still there?

Samantha: Y-yes.

Simon: Wait for me there.

I turned to my secretary and asked her to cancel all my meetings today.

Samantha: Si! You don't have to do that! Send me your address ako na lang ang-

Simon: I'll come and get you.

I ended the call and headed to the parking lot. What could have happen and why is she crying?
