ZEUS' POV
Alicia: Boys, get ready. We have a family dinner with the Fortalejos at 7pm.
My brother gave me a doubtful look and whispered.
Zion: You know about this?
Zeus: No.
I shooked my head as I responded and throw a dart on the board. Bullseye!
Alicia: I can hear you guys.
My mom said in chorus and Zion continued to whisper.
Zion: Dang. I have a date tonight.
Zeus: So?
Zion: Help me.
Zeus: Help you with what?
We heard someone clear a throat and we were surprised when we noticed that our mom is already staring at us.
Alicia: Tell me. Anong pinag-uusapan nyo?
She raised a brow and crossed her arms. We both stopped on what were doing and asked.
Zion: Why so sudden?
Zeus: What is this about?
Alicia: Well... SEF's founding day is in few months. So, we have to discuss a few things about your engagement party.
We both took a deep breath and secretly glanced at each other.
Zion/Zeus: Were not coming.
We both answered and continued with our games.
Alicia: Zeus.
She grabbed my arm and pleaded.
Zeus: Ma.
Alicia: You know it's our family tradition.
I took a deep breath and sighed. Wala sa sariling napahilamos ng palad sa mukha. Is this really happening? Just because of a stupid family tradition?
Zeus: I don't want to do it, ma. Please? Samantha is my friend. Ayoko maging kumplikado ang mga bagay sa pagitan naming dalawa.
Alicia: I know how it feels anak, I'm... sorry.
Why am I still surprised? My parents were also victims of arranged marriage. Hindi ko akalain na aabot pa sakin in this modern days.
Zeus: I don't know what to say, ma. Please, wag nyo sana akong sisisihin if I've done anything stupid.
Zion: Bro-
Zeus: Shut up, dude.
Zion: Ang drama mo.
Zeus: Gusto mo ikaw nalang?
Zion: Sure! Basta kay Samantha?
Zeus: Fck you, Zayn!
Alicia: Excuse me?!
Zion: Ma, you heard him!
Alicia: Get dress, gents. Nakakahiya kapag na-late tayo.
Our mom gave us a death stare before she walked away. Nagkatinginan ulit kami ni Zion and we both laughed.
Zeus: Sira ulo ka talaga.
Zion: What? I just saved your ass.
Kibit balikat nyang sagot. Yabang talaga nito. Well, magaling naman talaga syang sumingit sa mga usapan. Pabiro man o hindi.
Zion: Magbihis ka na. Mag-ayos ka ha? Yung magmumukha kang tao. Para naman magustuhan ka ni Samantha.
