Jennifer's P.O.V

I couldn't sleep. I had been tossing and turning for about two hours, and figuring out what was keeping me awake wasn't easy. After considering multiple reasons, I ended up realizing that my body had been very clear all the time. I was hungry. But the truth wasn't that simple. I actually wanted to eat something I always avoided having in the house. It was past midnight and I was craving chocolate.

Every now and then I opened my eyes to look to my right. I was a little jealous, but glad that he was resting. I wanted to touch him, check if he was real or if my mind was tricking me into a scenario I had dreamed of for so long. But as I watched Ben sleep, I knew my future was right there by his side.

My eyes weren't closed when he started moving. He turned around and found me wide awake.

"Can't sleep?" He asked in a low voice. I denied with my head. "What is it?"

"I'm hungry." I whispered.

He chuckled, burying his head in the pillow, and I couldn't help but laugh. The answer I gave him wasn't exactly what I felt. He sat up and looked at me with an expression of amusement on his face.

"We don't have chocolate." I said in a childlike voice and pouting.

"I think I've never seen you eating chocolate." He said smiling. "It's... 1:30am." He yawned. "Do you really want it now?"

"I won't tell you to go for chocolate at 1:30am, baby." I said stretching my arm to caress his face.

He gave me a lopsided smile and turned around to get out of bed. He stood up, struggling to find his balance on his feet, and walked straight to the wardrobe to take some jeans and Nike shoes. He dressed up between yawns as I watched him in disbelief. What had I done right to have him? He came back to me one more time to kiss my forehead before walking out as he scratched his still sleepy face.

It was probably the sudden silence what made me feel restless or his absence next to me giving me no reasons to remain in bed. I checked on the cocos. They were peacefully sleeping in their beds, and though I wanted to hug them and kiss them, I didn't want to wake them up. I closed the door slowly as I took one last look at them, and I walked away. Whenever I couldn't sleep I would take a moment to watch them sleep. They reminded me of everything that was right, which did me good every now and then.

I was sitting on couch when I heard the door, and I turned around to find Ben showing me a plastic bag from a distance. He was smiling now that he was fully awake. But when he sat next to me, I kind of forgot about whatever was in that bag. I just wanted to kiss him, and that's what I did.

I got close, so much that I could smell on his skin the face cream that apparently we were now sharing. I leaned in so that I could meet his soft, tentative lips. I brought my hands up and I placed them on his neck with a hint of pressure, but delicately. His hands traveled with intent, gripping lightly but with power, encouraging, pleading. Not rushing, pulling or pushing, just flowing. It was soft until it became addictive, a blazing fire yet a gentle rain at once.

Our lips broke. His eyes exuded love, safety, patience, and respect.

"Are you going to eat that chocolate?" He asked smiling.

"I am. But first..." I said putting the bag away.

I felt his hand warm as I guided him upstairs. I heard his breathing behind me. His arms surrounding me from my back to kiss my neck. The moon watched the hours go by as the world fell silent around us. Our shadows blended and the windows fogged up. We desired each other. The first rays of sun announced the morning, the beginning of the day. But time didn't exist in that bed.

"What's making you smile like that? Is it my hair?" He joked. "What is it?"

"You." I whispered. "In the morning light after making love all night."
