Jennifer's P.O.V

A small curve started to be noticeable, mostly in the morning. That was my first smile of the day, when I stood in front of the mirror and I no longer saw a completely flat abdomen. But that was when I was the first to wake up. When I stayed in bed a little longer with Ben, he'd be responsible for that first smile. His scent. His touch. His presence.

He kissed my cheek lightly. I closed my eyes at the touch of his lips, and a smile slid across my face. When I opened them, our lips met at the slightest and softest touch. I snuggled against him. He smiled and kissed my nose.

"Good morning." He whispered.

"Good morning." I said leaving a sweet kiss on the corner of his lips.

Our fingers interlocked under the covers while our foreheads touched, but his free hand was on my bare belly, tracing circles with soft caresses. It was quiet, almost too quiet for a house with children. His thumb rubbed my skin slowly, lingering in a moment I finally knew I had been waiting for a decade. He kissed his way down with soft lips, leaving sweet pecks as he moved to my abdomen to stick around.

"Good morning to you too." He said in a funny voice.

I tousled his hair with my hand as he talked, and I smiled like a fool watching him create a bond with our baby. He was also trying to make me laugh, which is something he never failed to do. His beard was tickling my skin, and I couldn't hold back my laughter.

"Baby, we're gonna be late for the appointment." I said giggling.

"Just five more minutes." He said in a childlike voice.

"Okay." I replied in a sweet tone.

We were still very cautious with our privacy, our little secret had not yet transcended to the media, and we wanted it to remain that way. We left the house in two different cars as usual, and arrived at the hospital parking ten minutes apart. We were very discreet with every choice we made while being outside, considering multiple entrances and exits, not drawing attention to us, moving fast. And we still felt like it wasn't enough to keep the paparazzi away. But that intimate moment after the door closed was just for us.

"Let's see if I can get a good angle for you to see. This little one looks very restless today." The doctor said.

"It must've been the little conversation they had this morning." I said looking at Ben.

"It is a good sign, the baby's moving around. It will take a few more weeks for you to feel the first movements though." He explained. "But keep up with the speeches, they appear to be very stimulating in spite of the early stage."

"I will." Ben said smiling.

"What else can we see..." The doctor said putting on his glasses.

"Is there still one baby in there?" Ben asked in a funny voice.

"Just one baby with two hands, two feet, and five fingers on each." The doctor joked. "Everything's in order. Also, no high pressure, no shortness of breath, fatigue or pain. I'm impressed."

"Does that mean I can go back to my hectic life?" I asked smiling.

"That means you've done great so far. You know there will never be zero risk. Can you dance? Yes. But don't push it. Listen to your body." He explained.

"Can she pull off a two hour show?" Ben asked.

"Inadvisable. I can't wait for a JLo show either, but that will have to wait." He said.

"You'll be the first to get an invite when that happens." I replied.

"I appreciate that. You can get dressed." He said handing me paper to wipe the gel off my belly.

He walked out closing the door behind him and leaving us alone. Ben was holding my hand. In fact, I didn't remember him letting go of it for a second. I knew I could count on him for every appointment, and he would always be there to support me.
