Jennifer's P.O.V
The Christmas break had come to an end, and I was eager to resume work on my project. I was ready to dive back into my music and bring my album to life. Today, the focus was on "First Love", a song that pretty much held the essence of my relationship with Ben.
When I walked into the control room, it felt familiar and comforting, like a second home. As I entered, my presence commanded attention. My radiant smile and the twinkle in my eyes were undeniable indicators of something extraordinary. But it wasn't my new Birkin bag that captured everyone's gaze, it was the glimmering engagement ring that adorned my left hand.
Shawn was the first to notice the ring's presence. Her eyes widened, and she gasped, unable to contain her excitement.
"Jennifer!" She exclaimed. "Is that what I think it is?"
My smile widened as I held out my hand, showcasing the dazzling ring.
"He proposed on Christmas morning, right beside our tree." I said.
"Oh, my goodness." Her voice filled with sheer joy. "I'm so happy for you both."
"It was the easiest decision I've ever made." My laughter filled the room as I reminisced about the moment.
The rest of the team in the control room had gathered around, their faces beaming with delight. They showered me with heartfelt congratulations and warm embraces.
As the excitement settled, my attention returned to the task at hand.
"Alright, everyone." I said, my voice brimming with determination. "Let's get back to work."
"First Love" spoke volumes about my relationship with Ben, and although it wasn't the typical ballad, the song held a special place in my heart.
"Ready to work your magic?" The producer asked.
"Absolutely. Let's do this." I said with excitement.
As I settled into the recording booth, the familiar scent of soundproofing foam and the hum of the audio equipment enveloped me. I closed my eyes, taking a moment to center myself. I slipped on a pair of headphones and adjusted the microphone stand to my height.
As the music started to play, a vibrant rhythm filling the air, I glanced at the lyrics on the stand in front of me, and I couldn't help but feel a surge of energy coursing through my veins. My body couldn't resist the urge to move. My hips swayed to the beat, my arms gliding through the air. The lyrics echoed in my mind, fueling my movements. With each chorus, I spun around, my dress twirling around me. The studio booth transformed into my own personal dance floor, a space where I could let go and feel free.
Every now and then, I would open my eyes, catching glimpses of my team and friends on the other side of the glass in the control room. They seemed to be enjoying the show I was creating in the recording booth.
The music built up, the tempo increasing, and my body responded. I couldn't help but let my inner dancer take control. My feet tapping against the floor, creating a rhythm of their own. I twirled and spun, my body responding to the music with an innate understanding.
When the song came to an end, I removed my headphones and stepped out of the booth, a wide smile on my face as I was received with clapping and words of praise.
"We should take a picture to let your fans know that you're already hard at work on a new album." Shawn exclaimed, pulling out my phone.
"Right!" I responded.
We positioned ourselves in front of the studio's soundproof glass, the recording booth visible in the background. I held my phone up, ready to capture the moment. But just as I was about to press the shutter button, Shawn's voice interrupted me.
"Wait. Your ring is visible in the picture." She said.
"You're right." I replied. "I don't want the world to find out just yet."
"Okay, let's try a different angle, or just take it off for a moment." She suggested, and I momentarily took it off.
We both knew that eventually, the world would find out about my engagement with Ben.
"Maybe we can take a shot from a distance." I said.
We took a few more shots, experimenting with different angles and poses until we found the perfect one.
"Got it!" Shawn exclaimed, looking at the picture on my phone. "You look amazing. This will definitely get your fans excited about your new album."
She posted the picture on my social media accounts, accompanied by a caption that was meant to ignite anticipation.
"How about we go with a sneak peek into the magic we're creating? #ComingSoon."
My excitement grew as I read the caption. It was perfect. I couldn't wait to share this glimpse with them. We watched as the likes and comments began pouring in. They were expressing their excitement, eagerly waiting the release of my new album.
As I scrolled through the comments, a particular one caught my eye. It was from Ben. My heart skipped a beat in surprise. I didn't expect to find a comment from him since he had recently deleted his social media accounts.
"Wait, look at this." My voice tinged with a mix of surprise and joy. "It's a comment from Ben!"
Shawn's eyes widen in astonishment. She had been aware of Ben's decision to step away from social media, making this unexpected comment even more special.
"What does it say?" She asked, leaning in closer to read the screen.
"This album is a masterpiece. I can't wait for the world to hear it.'" I read.
"Aww." She pouted.
We had always kept our relationship private, choosing to focus on our live away from the prying eyes of the media. To see his comment under my post, showing his support, was a beautiful and unexpected surprise.
"Your fans will be overjoyed to see this glimpse of your love." Shawn smiled.
