Jennifer's P.O.V

The red carpet was ablaze with flashing lights as Ben and I made our entrance. My daring choice of a breastplate truly stole the show, as its reduced size left little to the imagination. It hadn't gone unnoticed by Ben either. The color of his face had changed slightly, and he pretended to wipe a bead of sweat off his forehead as he let out an exaggerated sigh. I found it amusing.

As we made our way down the carpet, my entourage followed closely behind. Benny, some friends, and my ever-present glam team were there to ensure that every aspect was flawless. Among them, was a meticulous stylist, whose keen eye caught a potential wardrobe malfunction. She leaned in, her voice barely audible amidst the chaos.

"Jennifer, the laces on your breastplate are getting loose." She said urgently.

But before I could react, Ben, the ever attentive, sprang into action. Without a moment's hesitation, he stepped in front of me, shielding me from the prying lenses of the cameras. His protective instinct kicked in, and he focused solely on me.

My glam team swiftly moved into action, their fingers working deftly to secure the laces. Once they were securely fastened, Ben resumed his position next to me, his hand firmly clasped in mine. We leaned in closer, our lips moving almost in synchrony as we silently mouthed "I love you".

As the photographers continued to capture our every move, we walked towards the front, where a group of reporters eagerly awaited their turn to interview the attendees of the evening.

"Wow, Jennifer, you look absolutely stunning tonight." The reporter commented. "Ben, you must be the luckiest man alive!"

Ben's face lit up with an infectious smile as he gazed down at me.

"I am." He replied, his voice filled with genuine affection.

The reporter grinned, satisfied with the response, and preparing to dive into something more juicy.

"So, there have been some rumors about a possible baby number two. Care to set the record straight?" He asked leaning in closer.

"We're not expecting." I responded with a gentle shake of my head. "It's just another rumor."

"But is in your plans to have another baby?" He pressed on.

Ben and I exchanged a glance, silently agreeing to sidestep the question.

"Thank you." Ben said with a polite smile, before we walked away hand in hand.

Amidst the buzz of the crowd, my ears caught a comment from behind.

"That's a work of art." I heard. "Jenny Lo."

And then, I recognized him, turning around knowing who I would find standing a few feet away, Diddy. Memories flooded my mind as I locked eyes with him. Our relationship had been tumultuous, more toxic than healthy. Saying he was a bad boy would be an understatement.

I turned around with a forced smile on my face, and Diddy threw himself forward, aiming to plant a kiss on my face. The sudden intrusion caused me great unease, my body instinctively recoiling. Ben, sensing my discomfort, spoke up in a serious tone.

"Hi." He greeted.

Diddy, seemingly undeterred by Ben's serious demeanor, greeted him cheerfully, extending his hand for a shake.

"You lucky man." Diddy exclaimed as his head shook with laughter, his voice carrying a hint of playful envy. "Good to see you, Jenny." He added.

As Diddy walked away, disappearing into the crowd, Ben leaned in towards me.

"Asshole." He mumbled.

"Let's go inside." I tightened my grip on his arm.

Ben's P.O.V

Jennifer's name echoed through the room when she was called to accept her award, and I fumbled for my phone in my pocket. My fingers felt clumsy and uncoordinated as I tried to retrieve it in time, but finally, I managed to clutch it tightly.

As Jennifer stepped onto the stage, her radiant smile lightening the room, my heart swelled with admiration. My thumbs raced across the screen, unlocking my phone and opening the camera app. With a gentle press on the record button, I got to capture every second of her acceptance speech.

My gaze remained fixated on her, and a smile graced my lips. I couldn't help but be captivated by her every word. Her speech was brilliant, graceful, and humbling. And I couldn't have been prouder to witness it. As the applause erupted once again, my recording ended, but her smile remained imprinted in my mind.
