Chapter 10

10. Her heart is fragile .

"Fine. We'll go", Alec muttered .

"Yay! Thank you! " Chasity squealed.

Chasity was finished convincing Alec, for he was the one she wanted to be accompanied with on the party floor. Yes, there was a party tonight and it was duly important for his gang. This party was a source of excuse for her desire to buy beautiful apparels.

Alec locked the door and Chasity looked unavoidably happy. It was clear that her happiness revolved around, things that had price tags stuck to them .

"I am coming-reach to the car", Alec mustered .

Chasity would've probably created places for insects to live, with her heals that stomped against the wooden floor of a well known hotel .

Alec moved a little and stopped right in front Rayne's room .

He breathed deeply and hit his knuckles on the door, producing sound loud enough for her to hear.

" Coming! " a voice called from inside, that sounded angelic.

He mined a step closer to the door, and gulped a lump, that not even the most powerful body could afford.

The door creaked, as it rubbed against its woody frame and this small pulse of sound, made him likely to rumble against the whiff of excitement and nervousness .

Rayne pulled the door open and saw the intruder, standing there looking down at his shoes, like they have hypnotized them.

"Yes?", she mumbled.

He looked up and almost smiled at her. She was wearing a big white T-shirt, that wasn't white now. It was filled with different colours, that she might have accidentally spilled upon .

Her hairs were roughly tied up in a bun and she wore a pair of bunny slippers.

On her left cheek was a smeared glint of red paint and her fingers looked like she had dipped her hands in rainbow.

He smiled and she blushed.

"Umm... Be ready in five minutes and come down", he muttered straight ahead in a jiffy manner .

" Okay." She closed the door, and leaned against it as she sighed in relief. She was glad that their conversation consisted of three sentences.

'I want to see what she did? By the looks,it did seem interesting.' He thought.

Rayne quickly got dressed and cleaned her hands and face. She forced her phone in her pepe jeans' pocket and grabbed some money.

She rushed down to the car. There, as her eyes witnessed, Chasity and Alec were making out. She felt pink rising on her cheeks. Although the kiss was forceful, Rayne didn't knew that.

She turned her heals but as soon as she did, Alec noticed her presence.

"Rayne! ", he beckoned her before telling her to sit in the back seat.

Rayne did as she was told, she slid into the back seat. Sure as hell, her step sister wasn't pleased.

"What is she doing here?", Chasity whined.

"Come on dear. I am sure you wanted someone to carry your shopping bags",Alec smirked .

Listening to this, a bit of Rayne's heart broke.

'I thought he wouldn't treat me like this. Yesterday, he was so nice to me and now, he has turned all rude. But why am I feeling so emotional? It's all bullshit', Rayne thought . 'He is just like everyone else . Rude!'
