32. Her mind is naive.

The black coloured car, inexorably moved forth as the desolate road didn't seem to come to an end.

Caden blew another cloud of smoke with the most nonchalant expression as he drove with absolutely no attention to the road. His one hand was on the steering whilst the other hand's index and middle fingers held the cigarette.

The night seem to be more dreadful and darker than usual. The eeriness of bad vibe spread across the whole atmosphere. It seem to be devoid of happiness for some and hope in the goodness of romance and nature sat in the nook of the black sky ,almost invisible.

Caden stole a glance at Rayne. Her eyes were closed and her face looked like the most innocent one to Caden. She was just the definition of beautiful but some people didn't want to mug it up and embed on their thick heads.

Slowing lifting up from the unconscious state of her body, Rayne stirred on the seat. She rubbed her eyes like a small baby ,with forming a fist whilst the knuckles brushing against her tender eyes.

"You rub your eyes like a little kid. Well, now that was cute." Caden's lips curled up in a smile rather smirk as he stared at her act.

His voice caught Rayne off guard. She shocked out of her sleep completely and tried not to believe on her eyes as she saw Caden driving the car.

"Caden?", she spoke softly ,almost to herself but Caden quite heard her.

" Yes babe, it's me. Surprised?", he smirked and an expression semblable to that of shock, horror and anxiety conquered Rayne's features.

" What-Where are you taking me?"

"Cool down, would you? I am not going to hurt you." He turned his face towards her as he spoke. With no morality he smoked and puffed out one cloud near Rayne's face.

She coughed thoroughly like a sick woman. "You shou-", another cough left her mouth,"You shouldn't do that."

"Why is that darling?", he asked and cooed up an irritating smile at the very nickname. Rayne scoffed at his immorality but yet decided to ignore him.

"Well, if you might know that passive smoking is very dangerous for non-smokers. At least care about your health. Do you have any idea what that cigarette will do to you? You are practically inviting cancer to hug your body. Stupid. If I were you, I would've not smoked in the first place. It is not too late ...if you quit-" Rayne rambling on was cut off my Caden's laughter.

"Okay. I'll try to stop it." In the next moment, he threw the cigarette out of the window.

"That's good." Rayne remarked.

"Do you what else is good?" He asked.

She shook her head in confusion, answering his question with an unspoken 'no'.

"You."

"What?"

"Please don't pretend like you didn't hear me." He smirked.

Rayne didn't find it necessary to reply to his vile remark. She was worried on the inside. His nonsense jokes with inappropriate nicknames didn't seem to add bliss to the car drive.

"Why did you kidnap me?", she asked but changed the question when she realised the simple answer to it, Of course he wanted to hurt Alec. But things didn't make sense to her. She knew that Alec held some liking towards her but that liking wasn't enough to hurt him. It must be love, in accord with the keen relationship between them. But Rayne couldn't believe the fact that love could be on the hook. "What are you going to do now? With me. Why do you do such things? Don't you feel any guilt?"

"Well. Well. Well. Rayne, bit too innocent, are you?"

Rayne didn't like the remark. She looked out of the window to hide her melancholy. She wanted to be strong.

"We're here." He muttered as he turned off the engine. "Now, be a good girl and don't trouble me."

They both got out of the car.

Rayne looked around the place. It seemed as if they were in the middle of nowhere. Every where the sight went, it couldn't figure out anything other than trees. A building which looked old stood in the middle of the clearing.

"Where are we?", Rayne asked.

"Near West Frekstone."

"What?! That far. Let me go, Caden. Please." Subsequently, Rayne was loosing her emotional stance.

"Can't do, cupcake." He said. "Now come here."

Rayne didn't move. She stood there, meticulously thinking of what could happen the very next instant.

"I said, come here." Caden muttered with gritted teeth and pulled Rayne's hand. He then, took out a pair of handcuffs.

"Please don't handcuff me. It hurts."

"Shut up " he ignored her wailing and tied one of her hands with his.
"Now, you can't run."

With that done, Caden yanked Rayne into the building. As soon as she entered, a whiff of smell of alcohol and drugs engulfed her.

It was very dark. Only a dim light bulb provided the light. She could point out few girls that looked as if they were running short of clothes. Some men were smoking and some were making out with girls. She felt vomit rising up her throat but she controlled it.

It was like she had entered into some red light area.

Before she could absorb everything she was sitting on a couch with Caden. In front of the couch was a small table with food kept on it.

"Eat." Caden ordered.

Rayne didn't answer instead she turned her head to the other side.

"Don't test me, darling. Eat." He ordered again.

"How will I know if it isn't drugged?"she asked .

"You won't but I am telling you, it's not. Now eat or I'll feed you myself."
Rayne couldn't stand the thought of it and with her defeat, she slowly ate the sandwich. She was hungry, to be precise. Meanwhile, Caden grabbed the bottle of whisky from the table and started to drink from it.

Rayne's mind was the state of tohu-bohu. She couldn't help but think of how Alec would've been reacting.

"So tell me, sweetheart. Has Alec kissed you?"

"None of your business! " Rayne spat back.

"Cut the attitude. You are getting on my nerves."

"I don't care."

Suddenly, a voice familiar to Rayne came it.

"Let me go! You stupid jerk!"

Shock struck Rayne like a heavy boulder. There was a girl trying to set herself free from a muscular man's grip.

"Amanda?" Rayne muttered the girl's name.

"Help me, Rayne!" Amanda cried.

"What is she doing here?! Let her go!" Rayne tried to reach her but it only caused her pain in the wrist.

"Darling, you are so naive." Caden cooed. "Lock her in the basement, Dan. I'm coming. But first let me give Rayne a lesson."
