Chapter 21

21. Her scars won't heal.

Now that Alec was aware the Rayne is somewhere unsafe and anything could happen to her, he passed his four days which seemed like four months in pain and agony .

James didn't return home from that day on. One heck of pathetic excuse for a father he was.

Chasity sat in her room, like it was the brightest day of all. Alec use to come to her to ask about Rayne, but she pretended she didn't know where Rayne was . Every time she lied about it.

Alec entered his room with the same expression that he had been holding for the past few days. Same sadness lurked upon his face.

He sat on his bed and thought about every possible way, he could to get his hands on Ron.

Suddenly, his eyes snapped to a cactus. This thorny plant was not just a cactus - it was a gift. His mind drifted off to memories of the day when Rayne gifted it.

He never knew what real happiness is, until she came. They didn't have a nice conversation with each other but still silence was much of their affinity. No one can change that. Quiet people. Quiet thoughts.

With putting his happy thoughts to a halt, his mind snapped and came back to the reality.

Now he could not bear the pain in his chest. He got up and stormed straight into Chasity's room, without knocking .

Chasity sat up stiff on her bed with the sudden jolt as Alec stormed in, but relaxed when she saw him .

" What do you want? ", he asked with gritted teeth .

"What?", she mumbled in confusion.

" What do you want to give away Ron's address or where Rayne is? "

"Why are you so worried lover boy? Give it a break. She is not much of a pretty show. Ron will get bored and probably drop her here ."

"Shut up, Chasity! Just tell me ", he furiously roared .

"Okay. Okay. " Chasity jumped at his voice. " I will tell where she is, if..."

"If? If what? "

"If you will stay away from her and ignore her. Oh! And you'll do whatever I want with her. " She smirked.

"And if I don't follow it then?"

"Then, I will do something that will break her inside out. I know her better than you do. I know she'll never go against her father. I know her weakest points. I know what happened to someone so special to her, that she'll cry for days."

Placing a stone on his heart, he nodded and said, "Okay ".

"Good." She smirked devilishly." I will call Ron. He will drop her ."

Alex turned on his heels to leave but Chasity stopped him .

"But don't forget the terms, Alec. Remember I can break her ."

He nodded and left .

Next, Chasity called Ron.

"Hello? Ron?"

"Ahh! Chasity. " Ron recognised her voice .

"Bring her and I will transfer your money into your account."

" Aww! That soon. I was starting to have fun. "

"Too bad. "

The conversation ended.

All Ron cared about was money. He had no mercy for anyone. He quickly rushed to the room where Rayne was .

As in for Rayne, she sustained herself in the hope that she'll go back. With her wrist tied in handcuffs and her puffed eyes that wanted to see Ian, her only hope were becoming sore.

Ron boomed in the roughly grabbed Rayne by her arm, she tried to scream but her throat was sore, the only thing came out was a light whimper .

"Let's go, Rayne. I am going to have so much money. Pests like you worth something. Interesting " Ron rudely shoved Rayne into the car and drove off.

Four days without food and water, made her slim and she looked malnourished and ill.

The spark in her eyes was fading away. Her beauty was tortured and the scars of betrayal from her father, were leaving an impression on her heart.

Little did she know, her scars were going to be rubbed in, deeply.
