Chapter 30

30. Her blushing is cute.

Rayne's eyes fluttered open because of the penetrating sunshine peeping through the window.

To her vision she found that she was in a room.

I am in a room. The bed is so comfortable. She thought until her instincts turned in, I am in a room!? How?

It was no rocket science to understand that they were in a hotel or a motel, so she did.

She looked around to see a muscular hand holding down to her waist. She turned her eyeballs towards the left and the owner of the hand was none other than, Alec .

A blush crept up on her cheeks. Her soft hands and tender fingers touched his arm. She tried to remove it slowly. She, slowly and very quietly started lifting his hand up but it was to no avail when Alec sniffled in his sleep and made his hold even tighter. He pulled Rayne into his chest even more, if that was possible.

Rayne bit her lip to refrain from liberating a squeal.

She sighed and again lifted his arm a little but to her bad luck, Alec only ended thrusting her into his chest. Then, she heard the bed shuffling a bit and closed her eyes instantly so that Alec could not see her awake. To her it would be awkward but to Alec, it was like the best time of his life.

"I know you're awake." Alec's husky voice filled with amusement called from behind her. She didn't reply but just pretended to sleep.

"Well. Well. Well. Now pretending to be asleep, huh? I have been up for quite a while now." Alec laughed by the end of his statement.

Listening to this, Rayne's face turned into a tomato with utter embarrassment. They both couldn't help but smile at their silly play.

And there, in one swift movement, Alec turned Rayne's body at an angle of one-eighty degree, that is to say towards him. Their faces were opposite to each other and Alec still didn't remove his arm from around her waist.

"Good morning sunshine. Open your eyes." He cooed.

But to Alec's disappointment, Rayne didn't open her eyes. She seem to glue both of her eyelashes of both the eyes.

This is what cute meant for Alec. Rayne's eyes sparkling with happiness was cute for him. Her cheeks growing red because of him, was cute for him. Her smile because of him, was cute for Alec. Her every stupid and silly joke, was cute for him. All put together, everything she did and she herself was cute for him.

"So you won't open your eyes, huh? Don't worry, I know the perfect remedy for it." Alec's words made her to ponder upon what he was going to do.

The next thing Range knew was that something tickled on her right cheek. Alec had just kissed her.

She opened her eyes to see a wide smile on Alec's lips.

"I knew that will do." Alec smiled and modestly celebrated his victory.

Rayne smirked inwardly and pinched Alec's cheek. He let out an 'Oww' and rubbed, the hand he was resting upon Rayne's waist on his cheek. And taking advantage of the moment Rayne slid off, of the bed, standing on her feet .

"What was that for?", Alec complained sitting with his legs crossed on the bed.

"For waking me up." Rayne answered.
