39. Her reard raises an emotion.
"Are you sure about it, Caden?", asked Ian questioning the presence of his sister anywhere near Vince or his whereabouts.
"Oh course. I checked everything very precisely." Caden started,"I think you should inform Alec fast. One day has passed."
"Yeah, let me just get my phone." Ian said as he searched for his phone on the table in the guest house.
He looked down to see if the mobile fell down or something. He checked his bed and even the bathroom. He hastily went outside to check in the car but no place seem to have been bearing his phone.
Suddenly, an eerie feeling waspishly made his gut twist in more paradoxical way.
"Amanda! ",Ian hollered.
"What?",Amanda came to his bedroom from the living room.
"Have you seen my mobile? "
"No. Where did you leave it the last time?"
"Just here", Ian ruffled through the articles,"I think someone stole it. Can you please trace its location."
"Sure, give me five minutes. I'll call the company." With that said Amanda quickly turned to her laptop which was linked to the huge database and dialed the company's number.
Not even ten seconds had passed when Alec came rushing into the house,"I searched the whole town but got nothing." He sat on the chair and poured himself a glass of water. "Is she with Vince?"
"No, she is not with him." Caden chimed in .
"Are you sure?"
"One-hundred percent.", replied Caden.
Minutes later Amanda entered into the hall, talking on the phone, "Yeah, got it...Thank you", before hanging up.
"Did you find? Where is it?", Ian asked.
"Yeah, it's in James' house and strangely near Chasity's phone."
"What are you talking about?",Alec asked.
"Chasity stole Ian's phone.", Amanda answered.
"Fuck! What if Rayne tried calling me? My number is the only one she knows", Ian being pleonastic at the moment, muttered some swear words.
"You know what? I am going to kill Chasity, that slut! She-", Alec too joined Ian as he kept on repeating words that could ruin innocent ears.
"Ian do you really think Rayne would've called you?",Amanda asked interrupting both of them.
"Of course! And Chasity knew about it! That's why she stole my phone!", Ian exclaimed.
"Amanda, ask the company to send the list of all the logs on Ian's phone.", Alec averred.
"Right on it. They are going to FAX it in a few", Amanda went near the FAX machine to wait. Right after a few minutes, the churn in the machine was heard. A paper rolled from inside the machine to the tray.
Amanda quickly picked it up and found only one number under the category: received calls.
"There's only one number.", informed Amanda.
"That has to be it", Caden said firmly.
"Let me see." Ian asked and Amanda handed him the paper. He looked and scrutinized the other numbers on the list. "This is the only one I haven't spoken to."
"I will give a ring on this one.", Alec said as he pulled out his iPhone from his Jean pocket. "Dictate it."
"Zero-seven-double five...two-seven-five-seven-four."
