Chapter 19

19. Her sadness is longed.

"I can help you.", Rayne answered, while smiling.

"Really? "

" Yeah, I love gardening."

"C'mon then", Lisa, the gardener was way more than happy.

They both moved to the garden to plough and plant. The garden of Alec's mansion was huge, with so many flowers and trees.

Lisa was a 30 year old, kind hearted woman, who loved gardening .

After a few minutes of bonding over gardening, Lisa said, " Let me get the seeds."

" Sure."

Rayne huffed a puff of air as the sat on the chair. Her hands were soaked with water and mud. Her clothes were dirty. She was deep in thought about what happened yesturday.

About the kiss.

Chasity was beyond angry but she clinged onto Alec for the rest of the day rather night. Alec was confused, seeing as Rayne ran straight away into her room. As in for Rayne, she felt shocked and awkward.

"What are you thinking?"

She nearly jumped at the voice, which was deep and husky and belonged to Alec .

"Nothing", she answered. " I gotta go."

She scurried to her feet but was interrupted by him again," Why are you ignoring me?"

" I am not ignoring you."

"Then? Why are you going?

"It...I ...um.."

"Ray, see what I got!", Lisa came crashing into the scene, with excitement but soon slumped her head down as she saw Alec .

"Good morning, sir." Lisa greeted.

"Ah, Lisa, you are fired." Alec announced .

This gave Lisa and Rayne a big shock and filled their face with poignancy.

"But why sir? I didn't-", Lisa tried to defend herself.

"Because it is your job to do gardening, not Rayne's."

"You cannot do that. I agreed on working with her. It is my fault",Rayne jumped in .

"I don't want to listen anything. Pack all your stuff and leave before evening.", Alec ordered.

"But Alec, she didn't-", Rayne was vexed and shocked .

"Shut up, Rayne. Who gave you the permission to call me Alec. It is sir for you. Got it?" His voice held so much authority that Rayne couldn't help but nod her head .

He then, turned on his heels and walked away .

"I am sorry, Lisa." Rayne apologized.

"C'mon dear. Its okay.Don't worry.", with that Lisa walked away too.

Right on the other end of the mansion, with fake tears and whine, Chasity called her father .

"Daddy! You need to come here."

"Why princess? What happened? Are you okay?"

"Alec, ...he...kissed Rayne and ..."

"Oh I will be there tomorrow. Don't worry. I will handle her."

"Thank you, daddy. I love you."

" Love you too darling."

That phone call ended with an invitation to Rayne's bad luck.

The morning came faster and with its ugly face, greeted Rayne. James intruded into Alec's house without any notice and he brought a friend with him . Alec was out taking care some business, while the three which included Chasity, James and a friend sat in the living room.

Ron was a 25 year old, good looking guy with lean personality and features.

"So how are you going to pay the debt, James?", Ron, James' friend to whom James owed asked .

" Just wait, Ron." James answered,"Chasity call Rayne."

Chasity, who was sitting on the opposite sofa scurried upstairs to Rayne's room .

"Rayne. Come down. Be fast .", Chasity knocked her door, with a victory expression.

After five minutes or so, Rayne stomped her way down, only to get greeted by the three, who wanted nothing else but her destruction.

" Yes father?", Rayne interrupted their chit chat.

"Ahh Rayne, meet Ron. Ron meet Rayne, my daughter ",James greeted and started with his slump words," I owe Ron some debt, right Ron? "

Ron nodded.

"So I figured out the best way to repay him", James snickered.

"And what is that?", a curious Ron asked .

"You can take Rayne and keep her forever."
