Samantha wore a mini night dress with slight makeup on her face. Her hair was combed to perfection, and she looked gorgeous despite the bruises she had on her face.

"I'm glad you came home," she said to Augustus, following it by asking if he was tired or if he had eaten already.

But Augustus just ignored her, walking past her as if she wasn't even there.

"What do you want?" Augustus asked, completely pissed off.

Samantha tried to speak, to tell him how she felt, but no words would come out. She knew that he didn't care about her, that he was only using her for his own pleasure and satisfaction.

But she couldn't help how she felt. She loved him, despite everything he had done to her, and she hoped that one day he would love her back, that he would treat her like a real woman, like a real wife.

As the silence stretched on, Augustus lay down on the bed, lost in his own thoughts and desires.

As Samantha stood there, looking at him with a mix of fear and sadness in her eyes.

"Talk!" he shouted. "What do you want!?"

Samantha's tears had already fallen, her voice groggy and cracked. "It- it was our third wedding anniversary today, Augustus..."

But he didn't care about their anniversary. He didn't care about her feelings or her needs. All he cared about was himself and his own desires.

As Samantha stood there, feeling completely helpless and alone, even if her husband standing front her. But he was like a stranger.
