Days passed as Augustus didn't show up.

Samantha sat alone in the living room, the silence suffocating her. She glanced at the clock on the wall, hoping for any indication that Augustus would come home soon.

But time seemed to move slowly, the minutes dragging on like hours.

She tried calling his phone again, but it went straight to voicemail. She sent him several messages, each more desperate than the last, begging him to at least let her know that he was okay.

The uncertainty was killing her. Her mind raced with possibilities - what if he had gotten into an accident? What if he had met someone else? What if he decided he didn't want to come back to her anymore?

As she sat in the living room, staring at the phone in her hand, she heard a knock on the door. Her heart leaped in her chest, hoping it was Augustus. But as she opened the door, she saw it was only the mailman delivering the food.

Days turned into a week, and Samantha's mind was consumed with thoughts of Augustus. She tried to keep busy, cleaning the house and doing laundry, but her heart wasn't in it. She felt like a ghost, going through the motions of life without any real purpose.

Samantha tried to shake off the feeling, but her stomach churned, and her head throbbed. She lay on the bed, staring blankly at the ceiling. Her thoughts were a jumbled mess, and her emotions were in turmoil.

"Why did he leave without even telling me where he was going?" she mumbled to herself. "Did he really leave me for good? Is he with someone else right now? "

"I don't know what to do," she whispered. "I don't know how to live without him. He's been my everything for so long, even if it was just a facade. I don't know how to move on. I don't know if I even want to move on."

The silence in the room was deafening, and Samantha's mind was racing. She tried to find a reason to hold on, but everything seemed futile. She felt like she was slowly unraveling, and she didn't know how to stop it.

"I need him," she cried. "I need him to come back to me. I need him to love me. I need him to want me."

Suddenly, she felt a bit dizzy for a moment.

Samantha knew something was wrong with her body. She tried to brush it off, thinking that maybe it was just a simple case of the flu, but as hours passed, her condition only seemed to worsen.

She couldn't eat anything without feeling nauseous, and even the smell of her favorite food made her want to throw up. She had also been experiencing dizziness and extreme fatigue
