Bryan listened to Samantha's story with a heavy heart. He felt angry and frustrated with what Augustus had done to her.

But he also knew that it was not his place to judge or interfere in her married life. All he could do was to be there for her as a friend, to offer comfort and support.

"It's not your fault, Sam," he said, taking her hand in his. "You didn't deserve any of this. No one deserves to be treated that way."

Samantha sniffled and nodded, feeling grateful for Bryan's presence. "I just don't know what to do anymore," she said, wiping her tears away. "I feel so trapped, like I'm in a never-ending nightmare."

Bryan squeezed her hand. "You're not alone, Sam. I'm here for you. And I'll do whatever I can to help you."

Samantha looked at him, her eyes full of emotion. "Thank you, Bry. I don't know what I'd do without you."

Bryan smiled softly. "You don't have to worry about that. I'm not going anywhere."

They sat in silence for a while, just holding hands and taking comfort in each other's presence. Then Samantha spoke up again, her voice barely above a whisper.

Bryan pulled her into a gentle embrace, holding her tightly as she cried. He felt a fierce protectiveness toward her and her unborn child, and vowed to do whatever it takes to keep them safe.

"You're going to be okay, Sam," he whispered. "We're going to get through this together."

Bryan realized that Samantha held a special place in his heart, and the thought of her being in pain broke him.

He couldn't bear the idea of her suffering, especially at the hands of someone who was supposed to love and protect her.

As he listened to her story, he felt a sense of protectiveness and responsibility towards her and her unborn child. He couldn't imagine anyone hurting her, and he knew that he had to do whatever he could to help her.

Samantha was not just a childhood friend to Bryan, she was someone who had been a part of his life for as long as he could remember. Even though they had lost touch for many years, he never forgot about her, and always hoped that they would cross paths again.

Now that he had found her, he felt a renewed sense of purpose. He knew that he had to be there for her, to protect her, and to help her through this difficult time. He felt a deep connection to her, and knew that he would do anything to keep her and her baby safe.
