As Samantha watched Brylle sleeping peacefully in his crib, she couldn't help but feel grateful for Bryan's constant support and care. He had been there for her and her baby, every step of the way. But as much as she appreciated everything he had done, she knew that she couldn't rely on him forever.
She made a decision to talk to Bryan about it. The next day, as they sat down for breakfast, Samantha took a deep breath and began, "Bryan, I need to talk to you about something."
Bryan looked up from his plate and gave her a concerned look. "What's wrong, Sam? Is everything okay?"
Samantha nodded, "Everything's fine, it's just that...I think it's time for me to start looking for a job and a place to live."
Bryan frowned, "Are you sure, Sam? You know that you and Brylle are always welcome here. I'm happy to help you in any way I can."
Samantha shook her head, "I appreciate everything you've done for us, Bryan. You've been more than a friend to me. But I can't keep depending on you. I need to find a way to support myself and my son."
Bryan sighed, "I understand, Sam. But just know that I'll always be here for you and Brylle. You named your baby after my name, you're like family to me and I want to see you both happy and safe."
Samantha smiled, "Thank you, Bryan. You've done so much for us already. I'll always be grateful for your kindness."
Bryan sat at the dining table, feeding Brylle her food. The little baby giggled as she opened her mouth wide, ready to receive the milk.
"You know, Sam," Bryan began, glancing up at her. "I actually love taking care of you and Brylle. I can't just let you go and be on your own. I can't lose both of you."
"You don't have to do this, Bryan. We'll find a way to make it on our own," Samantha said, trying to be as independent as possible. She didn't want to burden him with their problems.
But Bryan just smiled at her. "Nonsense, Sam. I've already made up my mind. You and Brylle are staying with me until everything's sorted out."
Samantha felt a lump form in her throat as she tried to fight back the tears. She was overwhelmed with emotions and gratitude for Bryan's kindness.
"You know, Sam," Bryan began, "I've been thinking about something. I remember how much you loved designing clothes back when we were kids. And I know that you even went to college for it."
Samantha nodded, a hint of nostalgia in her eyes. "Yes, I did. But after everything that happened with my family, I couldn't pursue it anymore."
Bryan placed a reassuring hand on hers. "I understand, Sam. But I don't want you to give up on your dreams. We can start small and you'll grow it. I knew that you loved designing clothes so much, you even finished a degree to that, and I can find a way to start things for you."
Samantha's eyes widened in surprise. "What do you mean, Bry?"
"How about I help you start your own business or company? We can start small and you'll grow it."Bryan said.
Samantha was about to decline Bryan's offer, feeling hesitant to accept help from him, when suddenly, they both heard a faint voice from outside the room.
"Dada-dada..."
Samantha was taken aback by the sudden interruption of their conversation by her child. She was about to speak, to refuse Bryan's offer, but the sound of her baby calling out "dada" left her speechless.
"That's amazing," he said softly. "Your baby is already calling out to me."
They looked at each other, eye to eye.
