Samantha's stay in the hospital was longer than expected, but finally, the day came when the doctors allowed her to go home. Bryan, true to his word, was there to help her prepare all her belongings. Samantha was grateful for his help, as she still felt weak and dizzy.

Bryan reminisced about their childhood days, "Do you remember when we used to play doctor?" he asked Samantha with a chuckle.

Samantha smiled, "Yes, I remember. You always wanted to be the doctor and I had to be your patient. You were always so determined to make me better."

Bryan grinned, "Well, I always knew I wanted to be a doctor. Even back then, I had a feeling that it was my calling in life. And here I am now, a successful doctor."

Samantha's eyes lit up, "That's amazing, Bry. I'm so proud of you. You've achieved your dream."

Bryan's smile turned into a thoughtful expression, "It wasn't always easy, Sam. There were times when I doubted myself and thought that I would never make it. But I persevered and worked hard, and now I'm here."

Samantha nodded, "I know how that feels. Life can be tough, but we have to keep pushing forward."

Bryan looked at Samantha with a soft gaze, "And that's exactly what you're doing, Sam. Despite everything that's happened to you, you're still here, fighting for your life and your baby's. You're a fighter, Sam, and I admire that about you."

Samantha blushed, "Thank you, Bry. That means a lot to me."

Bryan took her hand and gave it a gentle squeeze, "You don't have to worry about that, Sam. I'm not going anywhere."

But Bryan also said that he would just finish today's shift. He told Samantha to just wait in her hospital room at that time.

Samantha spent the remaining hours waiting in her hospital room, her mind filled with thoughts of how her life had taken such a drastic turn. Despite the bleakness of her situation, she couldn't help but feel grateful for Bryan's unexpected appearance in her life.

Samantha sat on the couch, feeling a mix of emotions after their conversation. She couldn't stop thinking about Augustus and all the hurt he had caused her. Her phone beeped with a message from him, but she couldn't bring herself to read it. She knew it would only be more of the same.

With a deep breath, Samantha opened her messages and began to delete every conversation she had with Augustus. Each swipe of her finger felt like a weight lifted off her chest. She was erasing him from her life, one message at a time. A tear escaped her eye as she deleted his number from her contacts.

"It's best to get over you," she whispered to herself, a sense of finality settling in her heart. Samantha knew it wouldn't be easy to move on, but she was determined to do it. She deserved better than the life she had been living with Augustus.

Bryan walked in on her, seeing the tears on her face. He immediately sat down beside her, "Samantha, are you okay?"

Samantha looked up at him, "Yes, I'm fine. It's just... it's hard to let go of the past."

Bryan put his arm around her and pulled her close, "I know it is. But sometimes, letting go is the only way to move forward. You're strong, Samantha. You'll get through this."

Samantha leaned into him, feeling a sense of comfort she hadn't felt in a long time. Maybe there was hope for her after all.

As Bryan carried her bags out of the hospital room, Samantha followed behind him, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. She was finally going to be away from Augustus, and the thought made her heart swell with joy.

As they walked into the building, Samantha couldn't believe the opulence of the place. The lobby was decorated with expensive-looking furniture, crystal chandeliers, and elegant artwork.

Bryan led Samantha to an elevator and pressed the button for the top floor. As the elevator ascended, Samantha felt her heart racing. She couldn't believe that she was going to be living in such a fancy place.

When the elevator doors opened, Bryan led her to a spacious apartment that was decorated with modern furniture and had a stunning view of the city. Samantha was in awe of the place.

"Is this all for me?" Samantha asked, still in disbelief.

Bryan nodded, "Yes, and don't worry about anything. Just focus on taking care of yourself and the baby. You're safe here."

Samantha was overwhelmed with gratitude. She knew that she would never be able to afford such a luxurious place on her own. She thanked Bryan for everything he had done for her and promised to repay him in any way she could.

Bryan reassured her, "You don't owe me anything, Sam. All I want is for you and the baby to be safe and healthy."

Bryan nodded back and left the room, leaving Samantha alone in the hospital bed. For the first time in forever, Samantha finally felt the safety.

She knew that Bryan would do everything in his power to keep her and her baby safe, and for the first time, she felt like she had someone who truly cared for her.

She closed her eyes and let out a deep breath, feeling the weight of the world slowly lifting off her shoulders. For the first time in a long time, she felt like she had a chance at a better life, a chance to start anew.
