That night, Augustus asked Samantha to have sex with him.
Every part of her body was in agony, but she couldn't even cry out in pain because Augustus had placed a hand over her mouth, muffling her cries. She felt like she was nothing more than an object to him, something he could use and discard when he was done.
As Augustus finished, he got up from the bed without a word and left the room, leaving Samantha alone to cry herself to sleep. She couldn't understand why he was being so cruel to her, why he couldn't see how much she was hurting.
Tears welled up in her eyes as she realized that she was nothing more than a plaything to him, a possession to be used and abused as he saw fit. Her heart ached with the pain that she had given everything to a man who did not love or appreciate her.
As she lay there, lost in her thoughts, she couldn't help but wonder what she had done to deserve such treatment. Had she not been a good wife? Had she not loved him enough?
The truth was, no matter how much love she gave him, it was never enough for Augustus. He craved power and control, and he would do whatever it took to get it, even if it meant hurting the woman he was supposed to love.
Samantha let out a deep sigh, feeling the weight of her sadness and despair wash over her. She knew that she couldn't continue living like this, being treated like a worthless object. She needed to find a way out, to escape from this life of misery and pain.
The next morning, Samantha woke up feeling groggy and disoriented. As she slowly opened her eyes, she realized that she was alone in bed. Augustus was already up and about, getting ready for work without even bothering to wake her up or say goodbye.
