Augustus stumbled out of the bar, his vision blurred and his steps unsteady. The loud music still ringing in his ears as he made his way out onto the dimly lit street. He took a deep breath of the cold night air, hoping it would clear his mind.
But as he walked, he found himself unable to shake off the image of Samantha's tear-streaked face. He couldn't forget the way she looked at him with disappointment and fear, as if he was a monster.
He always thought he wanted her out of his life, but now that she was gone, he couldn't help but feel a pang of longing in his chest.
He remembered how he had punched her in the stomach when she told him she was pregnant, how he had hurt her so much, both physically and mentally.
But now that he thought about it, he didn't know why he did it. He was angry, of course, but why take it out on her? He had never laid a hand on a woman before, and now he had hit the one person he should have been protecting.
As he took another swig from the bottle, a girl approached him and asked if the seat across from him was taken. Augustus didn't care, and motioned for her to sit down.
As he chatted with the blonde, but his mind wandered to Samantha.
He took a sip of his drink and leaned in closer to the blonde. "You know, I've been looking for someone like you," he said smoothly, running his hand through her hair. "Someone who knows how to have a good time."
The blonde giggled and blushed, clearly pleased with the attention. Augustus couldn't help but feel a sense of power as he watched her fall for his charms. He knew that he could have any woman he wanted, and he loved the feeling of control it gave him.
Eventually, the bar closed and Augustus and the blonde stumbled out into the night. As they walked to his car, Augustus couldn't help but feel a sense of arousing.
He had too much to drink and was in a state of drunken stupor. As they began to engage in sexual activity, Augustus couldn't help but think about Samantha. The way she looked, the way she smelled, and the way she made him feel.
He tried to push the thoughts out of his mind, but they kept coming back stronger than ever. As he reached the climax, he accidentally muttered, "Damn. I wish she was you." The girl immediately stopped and slapped him across the face.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" She shouted. "You're disgusting!"
Augustus was taken aback by her reaction. He didn't mean to say what he did, but he couldn't help it. All he could think about was Samantha, and he knew deep down that he still loved her despite everything.
The girl quickly got dressed and stormed out of the car, leaving Augustus alone with his thoughts. He felt ashamed and disgusted with himself for what he had done.
