Samantha had been up since 5 am, preparing breakfast and making sure everything was in order for her husband.

Augustus always had high expectations and it seemed like she could never meet them. As she was making his coffee, she accidentally used the wrong blend of beans.

When Augustus took a sip of the coffee, he immediately noticed something was off. "What the hell is this? Did you use the wrong beans?" He asked, his voice rising with every word.

Samantha felt her heart sink as she realized her mistake. "I'm sorry, I must have grabbed the wrong bag," she explained, hoping to diffuse the situation.

But it was too late. Augustus was already fuming. "You can't even make a simple cup of coffee right? I don't know why I bother keeping you around," he spat, throwing the coffee at Samantha.

Samantha was taken aback as the hot coffee splashed onto her face and clothes. She tried her best to hold back the tears and not to show any signs of weakness in front of Augustus. "I'm sorry, it won't happen again," she muttered, still wiping the coffee from her face.

But Augustus was not done yet. "You're always sorry, but you keep making the same mistakes over and over again. It's like you're doing it on purpose," he accused, grabbing Samantha's arm and pulling her closer to him.

Samantha could feel the heat of Augustus' breath on her face as he continued to yell at her. It was all too much for her to handle. She tried to push him away but he was too strong. "Please stop, you're hurting me," she pleaded, her voice shaking.

Samantha was still shaking with anger as she picked up the broken pieces of her favorite coffee mug. How could Augustus do this to her again? The constant betrayal, the infidelity, and the emotional abuse were taking their toll on her.

As she wiped away the coffee stains on her dress, Samantha's mind raced with thoughts of how she could finally leave this toxic marriage. But she knew it wouldn't be easy. Augustus was controlling, manipulative, and had threatened her several times before.

With a deep breath, she went to confront Augustus who was packing up his bags. "Where are you going?" Samantha asked with a trembling voice.

Augustus didn't even look up from what he was doing. "Somewhere you can't follow me," he replied coldly.

The argument continued, each word cutting deeper than the last. Samantha knew that she had to leave, but she didn't want to leave without her unborn child.

As Augustus finished packing his bags, Samantha realized that she needed to take control of her life. She gathered her courage and said, "One day I'll have the courage to leave you."

Augustus just laughed in her face. "Good luck with that," he said, before storming out the door.

Samantha was left alone in the mansion, feeling helpless and trapped. She didn't know where Augustus had gone, or what he was planning to do.
