Chapter 16: The Demon Seed and The Spirit Seed

"We've been hearing this stupid seed for a while now. Can you at least tell us, what it is and what it's used for?" Marcus shouted. The whole day had been stressful for him and he kept hearing the word ‘seed’ from Louisa's mouth without her stating what it was used for or what it was. There was silence for a while and he began to angrily tap his foot on the floor "Well, I'm waiting" he said reminding Louisa that he was not in a good mood.
Louisa sighed as though explaining would be such a pain "Which would you like for me to explain first? The demon seed.....or the spirit seed?" She asked and Marcus glared at her "Fine. I'll explain them both" she huffed and tapped her staff on the floor. Seats appeared and now, everyone in the room were seated."Is everybody here?" She asked
"Stop stalling" Gard shouted
"I simply hate repeating myself" Louisa said before crossing her legs and clearing her throat. "I'll start by explaining the seed that is inside of Princess Sloane, the spirit seed. Now, the spirit seed, is as it is, a seed from a spirit" Louisa stated and they looked at her oddly "It isn't exactly a seed....it's more like a blessing from the Spirit King-"
"No wonder it feels familiar and normal to be around the princess. She has something from the king" Pint exclaimed, interrupting Louisa. But when everyone looked at her, she his inside of Sloane's hair "Sorry. Please continue" she said
"You see, the Spirit King had blessed the northern tribe long ago, for protecting him back in the Outworld. Now, for those of us that don't know what the Outworld is, it is a place where most of the scary types of magical or mystical creatures live. It's a place that stores the creatures most harmful to humans" Louisa explained
"Now, quick question" Nathan said and Louisa turned her head to look at him "Why the hell would the Spirit King, stupidly enter the Outworld?"
"Good question" Louisa said "According to what I remember, he accidentally stumbled upon a portal made by the magic association" she answered before continuing the explanation "I seem to have forgotten what had occurred after he appeared in the Outworld....but what I do remember is how protective the alpha in charge of the northern tribe at that time, was of the Spirit King. Up until the time, the Spirit King, returned back to this world, after blessing the northern tribe with the ability to have stronger bloodlines"
"I should have known" Gard let out "There's no way for there to be a whole tribe of werewolves with only alphas and betas yet no omegas. It's just abnormal and crazy"
"That's only part of the blessing" Louisa said and Gard's mouth almost dropped to the floor "The King had also blessed the very head of the northern tribe, with the strongest of all the bloodlines and descendants. He created an alpha of all alphas with high mana affinity in a tribe filled with alphas and betas"
"So, that seed...or blessing, is inside Sloane?" Alexa asked and Louisa nodded
"This is crazy" Allen said
"I can agree with you on that" Nathan said and Rebecca looked at him "How did she even get the seed?" He asked
"As soon as the next generation is born, the seed will move on" Louisa said with a sigh
"What of the one inside Nathan?" Rebecca asked "Cause, I don't like the sound of a demon seed being in my son"
"Me neither" Marcus said
"No need to worry. It was once inside you before the prince" Louisa said before explaining "Now, the demon seed isn't that different from the spirit seed. Except, the demon seed was actually a reward given by a demon, to the southern tribe"
"Reward? Why?" Lucard asked
"You see, if this tribe was the same tribe of back then, as soon as you annoyed them, they'd ignore the laws and slice your head clean off" Louisa said with a sadistic smile which made Lucard gulp
"W-why do you say so?" Lucard asked
"The southern tribe was rewarded with the demon seed, for bringing upon the most deaths of every living creature. They were what you'd call cleaners....due to how they killed off all the bad or annoying people in the Outworld" Louisa explained "The demon seed had the same effects as the spirit seed. But I bet you're wondering why none from the southern tribe ever became King or Queen Alpha"
"I....actually want to know why" Nathan said rather intrigued. The whole topic was actually interesting for him and he didn't feel bored unlike when it came to other topics.
"Anger. The possessors of the demon seed, always had an untameable anger" Louisa said "If one were to annoy someone possessing a demon seed, the possessor, usually doesn't think twice before killing. Just looking into the person's eyes is enough to scare one into pretending their dead" everyone looked at Nathan at this point
"Have you gotten angry, or annoyed, even just a little bit, today?" Marcus asked
"I have. But something always seems to calm me down when I inhale the air" Nathan answered truthfully as he rested his head on his hand with his usual neutral look. Everyone then looked back at Louisa for an explanation
"That's because the spirit seed is close by" Louisa said "The demon seed can rival the spirit seed, and the spirit seed can rival the demon seed. Simply put, the two seeds are always competing to see whose host is stronger" she explained "Currently, Prince Nathan's demon seed, feels inferior to the princess's spirit seed. So, it's slowly been increasing the prince's strength, so it can be on par with the spirit seed again"
"Is there anything we need to look out for?" Natasha asked a bit worried about her brother
"It's just for the two of them to not get angry. If they do, bad things happen especially when their anger is directed towards each other" Louisa said
"Why?" Gard asked
"If they get angry, the seeds will try to take over. And trust me when I say that all hell will break loose if it happens" Louisa said as she stood up from her seat and dressed her clothes "They simply have to work on controlling the seeds. It seems like Prince Nathan has that under control but my worry, is the princess. She has no experience, whatsoever" she added turning her head in the direction of Sloane "I bid you all a goodday and, a goodnight" she said before tapping her staff on the floor and disappearing.
   As soon as she left, everyone's attention turned to Sloane and Nathan. Nathan seemed to be taking the news well but Sloane.....looked like she was ready to explode.
"Sloane-"
"Don't talk to me" Sloane said as she turned her head towards Alexa. Her eyes had started to turn blue and her hair had half of its length dyed white
"Sloane-"
"How many years? Months? Weeks? And days, did you have the chance to tell me?" Sloane asked "And of all times, it just had to be today"
"Look, we weren't planning for any of this" Alexa argued "It just....happened"
"Did Scott know?" Sloane asked and Alexa's eyes widened "Yep. I should have known. He knew didn't he?"
"He did"
"I was his best friend and you were my roommate. Jesus Christ, it's just now that everything makes sense" Sloane said "Each time I asked if there were any secrets you two kept from me, you'd both look for an excuse and then, pretend like nothing happened"
"Sloane-"
"I hate being lied to and just now, I realized that I've been lied to my whole life" Sloane said before running though the living room door
