Chapter 26: Finding The Best Teacher

"The answer to that question is very simple" Rebecca said "There's a possibility that he won't be happy with that. As such, he'd get angry.....and that could cause problems"
"I forgot about that" Jerald sighed
"I actually don't mind" Nathan said which really surprised everyone
"What did you just say?" Allen asked "I don't think I heard correctly"
"I said that I don't mind teaching you people" Nathan said before looking at Allen with a frown "Stop making me repeat myself. I hate doing that"
"If that's so, then I guess we can cancel everyone going to school" Marcus said and they all cheered "However, it doesn't really change the fact that you'll all be reading books selected from the school's library" he said and the cheers disappeared
"That's unfair" Allen said
"He's right. It's really unfair" Jerald said
"Didn't you just say you'd cancel the possibility of us going to school?" Alexa asked
"I am cancelling it" Marcus said "You'll just be able to go there anytime you want and pick up a book from the library to read. I do believe I am being quite fair" he added and they groaned
"Nathan, who'll be the commander you'll pick to assist you?" Rebecca asked "Or should I select someone?"
"Don't trouble yourself, mum" Nathan said getting up from his seat "I already have someone in mind. He's someone I doubt even a commander from the northern tribe's best fleet, could defeat" hearing this, Marcus's face darkened
"Nathan, I thought I forbade you from meeting with that man" Marcus said
"You did. But, I don't care" Nathan said "You yourself knows that he's the only one who can prepare them on time. He can even teach them how to use the other forms of a werewolf"
"There's actually a werewolf that powerful?" Natasha asked
"Then where has he been all this time?" Allen asked
"For starters, the man Nathan is talking about, isn't a werewolf" Rebecca said
"Then what is he?" Christian asked
"He's a human" Marcus said "A cursed immortal human. He has the strength and speed of creatures like us, he can use magic in some aspects, and he has thousands of years of experience, in the acts of war"
"Are you serious?" They all asked in surprise
"Other than the heads of the different races, nobody can fight that man and defeat him" Marcus said
"He's very dangerous. So, we stop people from getting close to him" Rebecca said "To top it off, his curse allows him to access powers from the Outworld. Making him ten times more dangerous than he already is"
"But he helped me to tame the seed when I was younger" Nathan said "He also trained me in everything I know about fighting. And thought me how to use powers from the Outworld safely" he said and Marcus let out a sigh
"Will you protect them if things get out of hand?" Marcus asked
"Of course I will" Nathan said as he walked off and the others excused themselves from the table and left the dinning room
"Be safe" Rebecca murmured and Marcus kissed her on her forehead
"We need to tend to the school" Marcus said "Let's go. Or else, we'll be late for the opening ceremony" he stood up from his seat and helped her up as they both left the dinning room.

As soon as Nathan and the others left the dinning room, they had packed a few things in small bags and left the building. Nathan had suggested they walk since the place wasn't that far away.
   They had done just that but something was worrying them as they saw Mackenzie with Nathan
"Is Mickey also going to train with us?" Alexa asked as they continued down the trail expecting an answer from Nathan
"I'm not the type to make decisions for kids. If she wants to train, the only thing I can do is warn her about the dangers" Nathan said and Mackenzie smiled "Plus, knowing that bastard, he'll go easy on her" he added and silence enveloped the place
   They had already walked two miles when, Allen got tired of the silence and planned to start a conversation with Alexa, who was walking next to him.
Just as he opened his mouth to say something, he saw Fernanda walk over to Sloane
"When will we get there?" Fernanda asked
"It's true. We've been walking for a while" Jerald said, trying to support her but she simply glared at him and looked at Nathan
"We're almost there" Nathan said but he soon felt Mackenzie tug on his sleeve "What happened?" He asked
"Dad, what's the powers of the Outworld" Mackenzie asked and everyone surrounding Nathan, had a worried look
"How does she expect him to explain that to her without her getting scared?" Rosco murmured with frustration
"You really seem to care a lot about Mickey" Alexa said while looking at Rosco and he blushed
"Kids grow up so fast" Christian chuckled
"Shut it" Rosco shouted at him and they all chuckled. Rosco was blushing furiously but then, he saw Nathan squat to Mackenzie's level and listened in
"Mackenzie, the Outworld is a place were demons reside. It's above the underworld and hell" Nathan said and everyone was shocked.
   He hadn't even avoided the question nor had he tried to put it in a way, children would think nicely of it.
"I see" Mackenzie said with her hand on her chin "But, you didn't explain what I wanted you to explain" her words had really shocked the others
"You're right. You see, we all came from the Outworld" Nathan said and everyone's jaws wanted to drop to the ground
"Nathan, have you gone mad?" Allen shouted "Why would you tell her the truth?"
"So, you're all demons?" Mackenzie asked and Nathan nodded
"We're more like a branch of demons. Those that are closer to humans" Nathan said "We have feelings, goals and ambitions, fears and other things.....compared to the original demons, known as devils. You've heard of those right?" He asked and Mackenzie nodded
"Now, the powers of the Outworld, is what we call the powers we get when we connect with our inner devil" Nathan said "When the whites of our eyes turn black, we're only able to use part of that power.....but, we get stronger either way. Moreover, when we use more of our inner devil's power, we gain more forms than the ones we're already used to....." He said looking behind him before taking off his shirt ".....example, this" he said as he transformed into a wolf on two legs.
  His current form, had multiplied his human size by two and had razor sharp claws and teeth. While his eyes were glowing in colors of flames
"What the hell?" Jerald shouted
"Isn't he afraid of scaring Mickey?" Alexa asked about to walk over to Nathan and smack him but, Allen had pulled her back "Let go of me" she shouted
"Just watch" Allen said and Alexa stopped struggling as she saw Mackenzie hold Nathan's hand with a smile
"I still prefer the wolf and human you, better" Mackenzie said and Nathan transformed back into a human
"What am I going to do with such a fearless human like yourself?" Nathan asked as he put his shirt back on and ruffled Mackenzie's hair before he continued walking while holding her hand
Sloane smiled and continued walking beside them while everyone let out a sigh of relief before following them from behind.
   The forest seemed to get thicker the further in, they got. And they noticed that the trees there, were half-evergreen and animals moved about in this parts.
   Most of the parts of Greenwood Springs, were made up of evergreen forests and relaxing springs, that were not too far from waterfalls and mountains. Due to the forests being sealed away from humans, other creatures seemed to enjoy these parts.
"It's so beautiful" Sloane and Mackenzie murmured and the other heirs looked at them weirdly
"You've never been inside the forest before?" Allen asked
"Sloane has a fear of the forest ever since, she was a kid" Mackenzie said
"And you?" Rosco asked
"Nobody in town, is allowed to enter the forest...." Mackenzie said sadly "People always die and never return when they enter. Like my family" she teared up and held Sloane's hand; it seemed to calm her down as they continued on into the forest.
   Before they knew it, Nathan stopped and looked to his side. As such, the others did the same and came face to face with a beautiful crystal clear spring. However, he wasn't looking at the spring, but the man who was standing naked in the spring.
The man had his back to them and stood tall in the water. He had long rough chestnut hair that went down his back and the aura surrounding him was calm, but eerie.
‘It's been a while, Master Dante’ Nathan thought and the man slightly turned his head to look at them. There were bags under his eyes and his eyes were black with the whites being normal. He looked so normal.....like an ordinary man in his early thirties
