Meanwhile,
Back to Izana and Kakucho...

Third Person's POV

Izana was smiling ear-to-ear while staring at a gift box, his eyes sparkling with pure joy. Kakucho heaved out a sigh of exhaustion. He was completely drained out after Izana dragged him around the city, all for the sake of finding a perfect gift for (Y/n). "Ahhh, I can't wait to give this gift to (Y/n)." he was bouncing off the walls giddily, imaginary flowers floating around his head.

"So you kicked her out the apartment and prohibited her to return home until dinnertime...in order to find a gift for her? Don't you think you're going a little too overboard? Poor (Y/n)-san being all alone right now..." Kakucho shook his head, disagreeing with Izana's action. Izana rolled his eyes, ignoring the younger male's rebuke.

"I thought you were mad at her or something."

"Kinda but my real objective is to keep this gift secret from her."

Kakucho truly couldn't fathom Izana's logic. (Y/n) might misunderstand the older male's real intention and mistook it as petty revenge against her. That (h/c)-haired lady would surely plot her own revenge against Izana soon.

The war between them would be neverending.

The doorbell of Izana's compartment suddenly rang, indicating a guest was waiting outside. Izana and Kakucho stared at each other for 30 seconds then shifted their attention to the door. "Maybe (Y/n)-san?" Kakucho theorized unsurely. The tanned man scowled, displeasure evident on his face.

"I told her to not return home until dinner time!! I haven't even prepared the ingredients to cook dinner!" Izana was discontented. He had crafted a perfect plan to offer a proper apology to (Y/n) for his attempt last night...and as a small celebration for his success in confessing to you.

He was not looking forward for his plan to fly out of the window right now!

The doorbell rang again which stressed out Izana more. He stomped his way to the entrance as he kept murmuring under his breath, "Please don't be (Y/n)... Anyone but (Y/n)."

Opening the door, Izana readied himself for the worst. "(Y/n), I told you to return home during dinner-"

It was worse, way worse even though Izana was expecting the worst.

Izana was at loss for words, frozen on his spot as he was intimidated by the presence of a man in his late forties, wearing expensive suit standing before him.

"You're Kurokawa-kun, right?" The dark brown-haired man spoke up politely. Izana was still astonished and remained silent whilst his gaze of confusion met with the man's calm one.

' This... This old man...!!' Izana gritted his teeth, his stomach churned as worst-case scenario began haunting his mind.
