"Kyle, get in!" I spoke on the phone, sitting in the passenger seat of our new car. Dovahkiin was driving wearing his normal baggy jeans, a black hoodie, and a red shirt thrown over it. On his head was the Mario hat he bought. I insisted he wear a mustache, but he refused, saying it would just bother him.
Kyle opened the door and looked at me. I waved to him from the passenger seat, and he smiled excitedly. He came up to the car, sitting in the back.
"You're guys' car is nice!" He complimented.
"Yeah! Our parents went all out," I said to him. Dovahkiin drove forward a little bit, before parking. Stan lived literally next door after all.
I dialed his number and he picked it up,
"Come outside! Let's go to the party!"
"What?! I don't have a costume!" He said through the phone.
"Dude, who cares just put something random on!" Kyle yelled from the back.
"Fine, gimme a sec,"
After five minutes of waiting, he came out in his normal clothes, except with a pair of devil horns on. It was odd seeing him without his hat, but I liked how his hair looked. It was really cute— WAIT! What's wrong with me?! I shouldn't be thinking about him like that. After all, I have something going on with Kyle right now. I'm not completely sure what we are, but there's no rush.
"Took ya that long for that?" Kyle said as Stan scooted over.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever," He said.
"Happy birthday guys, I gotcha guys something," Stan said holding two gift bags.
"Oooh! We can open it later tonight when we leave," I said.
"I got you guys something too," Kyle said. I looked back and saw he had two bags as well.
"Thanks, guys," Dovahkiin spoke up.
"Of course dude, we're friends," Stan told him.
And with that, we started to drive to Bebe's house. It was only one neighborhood over, so it wasn't that long. When we got there, there were a ton of cars parked out front, so we had to park a little farther away.
We all got down from the car, and Stan spoke up,
"What the hell? You guys are matching?" He reacted to Kyle and I's matching vampire costumes.
"Yeah! I thought it would be cute!" I told him. I hooked my arm with Kyle's and leaned my head near his shoulder. He looked away from me nervously, but it wasn't an 'I'm nervous because the girl I like is near me' kind of nervous. He seemed nervous about something else. I looked closer, and realized he was avoiding looking at Stan. I wonder why...
"Are you guys together?" He asked.
I felt my cheeks get hot, and blushed, "Well, we haven't really labelled anything yet, so I don't know—" I trailed shyly.
"They basically are, now hurry up, let's go, everyone is already there," Dovahkiin dragged Stan away, and Kyle and I followed.
They were a little ahead and so I took this chance to talk to Kyle privately. I moved my hand down to his hand, and held it as we walked.
"Kyle, what's wrong? Why are you nervous?"
"I'm not nervous! I probably just ate something weird, hahah..." He said in a totally nervous tone.
"You're lying. Cmon, you can tell me, I tell you everything when I feel sad or nervous. You can do the same with me," I peered up at him, and his green eyes met mine for a second before turning away.
